The Position
- The new Manager of Emergency Department (ED) will be responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and overall accountability for AdventHealth of Central Texas's Emergency Department with a focus on driving quality patient-focused care that meets the needs of the community.
- The Manager of ED will oversee approximately 81+ FTEs and will have responsibility over the 50-bed Emergency Department which is divided up into trauma/cardiac, general patient, behavioral health, vertical recliners, and overflow.
- This leader will focus on workforce and staffing initiatives such as mentoring new hires and junior-level staff, recruitment, and retention rates. They will also collaborate closely with the physician team driving stable relationships across the department.
- The ideal candidate will be a hands-on dynamic leader who brings Emergency Department expertise and a strong understanding of regulations and financials.
- Seeking a seasoned, adaptable, approachable, and detail-oriented leader who can effectively collaborate with all levels of leadership. The ideal leader will balance the emotional needs of the team with accountability and a focus on process improvement.
Requirements
- BSN is required.
- Active TX RN license is required.
- Active TNCC, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications are required; active CEN certification is preferred.
