Our client is currently seeking a Quality Manager for thier climate controlled, Manufacturing facility in Kansas City MO. This is a clean Manufacturing environemnt and a day-shift position working Mon - Fri. Some Regional Travel will be required in this role. The Quality Manager will report into the Plant Manager & be responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System including developing & enforceing procedures, policies and standards affecting the Quality of the products manufactured. This person needs to be proficient with ISO 9001 & Food Safety (GFSI) Standards. This is an industry leader in the packaging world and a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar company with over 40 domestic prodcution locations. There is pleanty of career advancement potential.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for Quality personnel and ensuring that all quality personnel are trained to perform their respective job functions.
• Participate in the development, implementation and administration of quality specifications and systems.
• Monitor and report on progress against metrics and goals
• Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
• Responsible for all activities associated with internal and external audits.
• Manage customer complaint and reject process to ensure accurate root cause analysis, timely response, and determination and implementation of corrective actions.
• Monitor site quality and food safety metrics and develop counter measures as needed.
• Work in conjunction with Organizational Quality leadership and Manufacturing Management to ensure all manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures are being performed and all metrics are on target.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of leadership experience in Quality within Manufacturing - Packaging, Plastics, Paper Industries preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, GFSI required - Previous Audit Expereicne Preferred
• Understanding of fact-based decision-making & analytical processes related to quality management and process improvement.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
