The Supervisor of Ride Operations is responsible for ensuring that the Ride Operations Department maintains a professional atmosphere and ensures the standards of safety and guest service are being upheld by direct and indirect reports. • Ensures the safety of our guests and employees by ensuring that all employees are operating according to the policies and procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual; directs employee actions during emergency

About the position

As a Production Technician with Carowinds Live Entertainment Department, you will play a vital role in the creation and execution of our brand new shows, attractions, and events. In this role, proficiency with hand and power tools is essential, as you will operate a variety of equipment, including golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, construction equipment, and motor vehicles. Shift/ Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Assists with the maintenance and installation of all the HVAC needs in the Parks. Performs services of diagnosing, trouble-shooting and installing air conditioning and heating systems, air supply and return plenums with duct board, and flex ducting. Responsibilities and requirements may vary by location.

• Installs, repairs, adjusts, maintains, retrofits, and troubleshoots refrigerant controls, compressors, heat pumps, split systems, ductless splits, packaged units, electric motors, motor controls, commercial furnaces and related controls, water pumps, exhaust fans, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, sizes of air compressors and air dryers, and related accessories and controls, chillers, (reciprocating, screw and centrifugal), cooling towers, automation control systems, and all types of glycol systems.
• Maintains accurate and up to date records and logs of all work performed.

• Repairs and maintains various types of walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers throughout the facility.
• Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Meets Six Flags’s attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags attendance policies.

Responsibilities Differentiation:

Performs most kinds of HVAC required in the park: seeks guidance on most complex HVAC work. Works well with customers and able to explain issues that may arise.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in most aspects of HVAC function. Good verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand. Good judgment, decision making and problem solving skills.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.

License or Certification:

Valid driver’s license. Gas Fitter 1 license required in applicable states. CFC recovery certification required in applicable states. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of HVAC experience. Refrigeration experience preferred.

Equivalency:

Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

$15 per hour! The Guest Service agent is responsible for greeting and checking in guests, as well as processing payments, informing guests of the package elements
while ensuring front desk efficiency.

• Interacts with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Registers guests, assign rooms, check out guests, arrange for special requests, provide hotel and area information, answer phones, and ensure that all operating procedures are followed.
• Dispenses and accounts for package tickets and discount coupons.

Carowinds is looking for EMTs to provide emergency and non-emergency care to all of our Guests and associates. As part of this team, you'll staff the park's First Aid office and respond to medical calls on property. You'll also:

• Provides basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, removing splinters, dispensing over-the-counter medications and patient assessments.
• Processes and completes departmental paperwork thoroughly, accurately and legibly as well as maintains high degree of confidentiality.
• Maintains all first aid facilities, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs cleaning duties according to OSHA and Park Blood-Borne Pathogen Requirements.
• Performs and interprets pre-employment urine drug screens. Collects and processes urine specimens for post-incident, reasonable cause and random drug screens.
• Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly safety inspections and immediately reports hazardous conditions. Documents findings as directed.
