Responsibilities:
- Extends reach of on-site radiologists by performing advanced image-guided procedures, as privileged under direct radiologist supervision, including, but not limited to:
- Fluoroscopy procedures
- Esophagrams, swallow studies, upper GI, small bowel studies and barium enemas
- Arthrograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, epidurals, tube replacements and exchanges, joint injections and aspirations, replacement/exchange of nephrostomy and abscess drainage catheters
- Bone marrow biopsies, thyroid biopsies, non-targeted liver biopsies, superficial mass biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, abscess grams, vascular access and extremity venograms
- Placement of non-tunneled venous access lines such as PICC lines and central venous catheters
- Administers contrast media as necessary, following established protocols and guidelines
- Manages patient communication and assists provider teams with care coordination
- Explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation during the imaging process
- Obtain and document patient medical history relevant to the imaging procedure, including signed consent. Includes utilization of EPIC, RIS, and PACS systems

Required:

Duties and Responsibilities

Typical assignments include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations

You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:
- Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.

- Analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions where you will be expected to make arrests after the completion of required training and apply these skills in a law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional or rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders, security, military, etc.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

The Heart & Vascular Clinic Operations Director provides strategic and operational leadership for ambulatory services across the Cardiology (general & invasive), Electrophysiology (EP), Vascular, and Interventional Radiology (IR) clinics. This role ensures clinical operations deliver patient centered care that focuses on access, growth, quality outcomes and patient experience. The Director partners closely with appropriate stakeholders to optimize the continuum from referral to procedure to follow up.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Access
- Lead day to day operations for multi site Heart & Vascular clinics, including Cardiology (general and invasive consults), EP, Vascular, and IR ambulatory pathways.
- Assumes 24-hour responsibility for assigned areas of operations.
- Own access and capacity management: templates, scheduling rules, slot utilization, referral triage, and wait time reduction for new and follow up patients.
- Standardize clinic workflows (check in, rooming, testing coordination, care transitions) and implement Lean process improvements to reduce lead time and waste.
- Coordinate pre procedure workups and clearance for invasive cardiology, EP, vascular, and IR procedures; align with cath/EP/IR lab schedules and post procedure follow ups.
- Oversee clinic staffing, daily huddles, visual management, and escalation protocols to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Monitor and improve clinical quality measures (e.g., guideline-directed therapy adherence, anticoagulation management, device follow-up, vascular wound outcomes).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DNV), policies, and documentation standards.
- Partner with physician and nursing leaders on safety event reviews, root cause analyses (RCA), and action plans.
- Maintain competency validation, licensure tracking, and annual training for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with Riverside Healthcare’s philosophy, mission, and values.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; track performance to target.
- Optimize revenue capture: charge integrity, accurate documentation, prior auth, denials prevention, and clinic coding workflows (E/M, device checks, imaging).
- Collaborate with supply chain on vendor contracting, implant/supply formularies, and inventory controls.
- Support business planning for new programs, sites, providers, and equipment (e.g., ambulatory monitoring, device clinics, vascular wound care, IR outpatient procedures).
- Drive market-appropriate growth strategies: referral development, access expansion, clinic footprint optimization, and telehealth/hybrid care models.
- Develop outreach programs with primary care and referring specialists; improve care coordination and communication pathways.
- Sponsor operational readiness for new technology and programs (e.g., advanced imaging protocols, remote device monitoring, ambulatory IR offerings).
- Achieve top decile patient experience (Press Ganey) through service standards, scripting, and service recovery.
- Promote physician satisfaction in clinical areas by rounding on providers and developing action plans to address any areas for improvement.
- Implement equity and inclusion practices; reduce barriers to care (transportation, language access, financial counseling).
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams (RNs, MAs, device techs, schedulers, access reps, RN navigators) while setting clear expectations.
- Monitors and facilitates the resolution of performance and other employee relations issues. Evaluates and holds downline of leaders accountable for employee performance in their areas. Encourage the recognition of high performers, address low performers, and improve overall employee performance.
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement; lead change management with transparent communication.
- Leverage the EHR for efficient workflows (referral triage, integrated scheduling, pre procedure checklists, care gap closure).
- Use dashboards to track KPIs (access, quality, financials, patient experience); run daily/weekly operations reviews.

The Clinical Operations Manager, Imaging Services is responsible for the daily clinical and operational management of Riverside Medical Center’s imaging service lines, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered diagnostic care. This position oversees imaging clinical and non-clinical supervisors and clinical support staff, manages departmental operations, and drives excellence in performance, quality, and service delivery across all imaging modalities.
This leader will also provide technical or administrative support as needed—maintaining active engagement in imaging operations to ensure seamless workflow, adherence to regulatory standards, and excellence in patient care. The Clinical Operations Manager works collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, nurses, physicians, and administrative leaders to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care Management
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate imaging care across all modalities (e.g., radiography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine).
- Provide technical or administrative support as needed, such as assisting with patient coordination or patient or staff satisfaction follow up.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of imaging services through audit, observation, and review of documentation, ensuring adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those set forth by CMS, IDPH, DNV, ACR, and HIPAA.
- Identify risks to patient safety, quality, or operational efficiency, and develop corrective or preventive action plans.
- Oversee competency validation, training, and continuing education for technologists and support staff.
- Collaborate with other clinical departments to support coordinated patient care and optimize scheduling and throughput.
Operational & Practice Management
- Provide leadership and oversight of imaging operations, ensuring efficient workflows, appropriate staffing, and optimal patient experience.
- Manage staffing models, scheduling, budgets, and productivity metrics to meet department and organizational objectives.
- Oversee imaging equipment, ensuring maintenance, calibration, and regulatory compliance with safety standards.
- Partner with biomedical engineering and facilities teams to coordinate equipment service and replacement planning.
- Support front-end processes including patient scheduling, registration, and timely reporting and documentation to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive service line growth, technology advancement, and process improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Staff Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor imaging and clinical support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, review safety and performance metrics, and recognize achievements.
- Partner with Human Resources on employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes as needed.
- Promote interdisciplinary teamwork between imaging, nursing, and specialty areas to enhance patient outcomes and operational success.
Physician & Stakeholder Relations
- Cultivate positive relationships with radiologists, referring providers, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
- Facilitate open communication and problem-solving to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Represent Imaging Services in alignment with Riverside’s mission, values, and commitment to patient-centered care.
Performance & Compliance
- Monitor and analyze operational, financial, and quality indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation standards, evidence-based practices, and hospital guidelines.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and audits.
- Ensure departmental readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation surveys (ACR, DNV, IDPH, or other applicable bodies).

Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in imaging or clinical operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience managing imaging operations, scheduling, staffing, and quality/performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for diagnostic imaging.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with EPIC/EMR systems.
- Background in multiple imaging modalities or ambulatory/outpatient imaging centers.
Required Education & Licensure
- Licensed Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois, in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Education & Certification
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification in leadership or imaging administration (e.g., CRA, CNML, or NE-BC).

The Director of Materials Management is responsible for all purchasing, storeroom, inventory, and supply distribution as well as the courier system.
Essential Duties
- Acts as an internal consultant regarding purchasing alliances and purchasing decisions.
- Develop and maintain budget for Material Management Department.
- Develops and maintains purchasing and materials department policies and procedures consistent with Riverside Healthcare’s philosophy, mission, and values.
- Ensure PMM system is implemented and used appropriately throughout the system.
- Oversee the Third Party Logistics(3PL) that has been outsourced to complete courier transactions.
- Ensures Value Analysis Committee runs smoothly and meet its objectives.
- Maintains appropriate level of inventory.
- Manages and provides leadership in financial matters regarding budgeting and cost control and revenue generation.
- Negotiates capital purchases for Riverside Medical Center.
- Negotiates pricing for storeroom supplies and other assigned purchases.
- Participates and contributes to assigned committees, teams, task forces, including community service if applicable.
- Provides leadership and direction for ensuring quality patient care.
- Provides leadership and direction for improving patient/customer satisfaction.
Works with Finance to ensure products are purchased on time and a current list of capital expenditures is maintained.
