Education: Graduate of an accredited PTA program, Associate's degree.
Licensure: PTA license in the applicable state of practice.
Experience: Less than one year.
Certifications: LPTA Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. BLS Basic Life Support Within 3 Months of Hire.
Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge of various types of office equipment including a computer, telephone, fax, printer and copy machine.

• Customer Interactions:
  
  • Manage inquiries in areas such as Member Services, Medicare, and Billing , assisting Spanish- and English-speaking customers.
  • Represent our client professionally by addressing and documenting all incoming queries, including complex calls related to specialized product lines.

The Section of Infectious Diseases, Dept. of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) seeks to recruit a new faculty to the Clinician or Clinician Educator pathways at the Assistant Professor rank.

The successful candidate will show strong potential for academic advancement in accord with current College of Medicine criteria. S/he must have a MD/DO (or equivalent) degree, be ABIM BC/BE in Infectious Diseases, licensable to practice in the State of Oklahoma and eligible for credentialing by OU Health. Particular consideration will be given to candidates with additional experience and training in care of immunocompromised hosts, bone and joint infections, and/or clinical research.

Along with the 9 faculty members in the Infectious Diseases Section S/he will engage in the three major missions of the College of Medicine: Education, Patient care, and Scholarship.

Educational responsibilities may include teaching first and second year medical student courses, precepting and supervising trainees at all levels including students, residents, and fellows on inpatient and outpatient services. Educational responsibilities also include participation in Departmental and Section level teaching forums e.g. medical grand rounds, resident lectures, journal clubs, research and clinical conferences. Patient care activities will be conducted in ambulatory and inpatient settings at OU Medical Center.

OU Health  is seeking a full time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve in the Child Section of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DPBS) on the Clinical Educator track; at 90% clinical effort and 10% administration, education and research effort. This faculty will report to the Chief of the Child Psychiatry Section and will be granted a faculty appointment with the University of Oklahoma.

• Meeting with patients and psychiatrically evaluating their conditions, disorders, safety or disabilities.

• Diagnosing and medical, mental health, affective and developmental conditions.

• Developing treatment plans and leading treatment teams using individual, group, expressive and family therapies and counseling, and determining need for psychiatric medication as necessary and appropriate at all levels of care

• Determining appropriate level of patient care, need for hospitalization, discharge and completing orders as indicated for both.

• Assisting patients as they cope with difficult situations.

• Educating family members or guardians regarding supporting patients.

• Consulting with OU Health providers, social services, community providers, and court systems as required.

• Continuing education activities.

• Supervise general residents, pediatric residents, students and child fellows.

• Timely documentation for assessments, follow ups, admissions and discharges

• Participate in scholarly activities.

• Analyzing patient cases for insurance utilization review.

• Ensuring adequate follow up metal health services are arranged for the patient.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Medical degree and Oklahoma Medical License.

• Board certification in general psychiatry.

• Successful completion of an accredited child fellowship program.

• Board eligible in Child Psychiatry.

• Knowledge of and experience managing complex clinical cases.

• Ability to work under intense pressure and respond to difficult questions.

• Ability to work with and lead an interdisciplinary team.

• Experience in program development is desirable.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience, including training, required.
