MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide patient care in an outpatient and inpatient setting, to include first assist in surgery.

Position Highlights and Responsibilities:

  • Monday through Friday schedule 8 am to 5 pm, no call
  • Role involves primarily seeing palliative patients with some cross coverage in hospice
  • Experience with pain management and narcotics prescription required
  • 5 visits per day, primarily concentrated in a centralized area, including medication refills. Mileage reimbursed.

Southwest Medical, part of Optum, is a multi-specialty group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants at clinical locations including health care centers, urgent care clinics, convenient care centers and an outpatient surgery center. Required Qualifications:

  • National Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
  • Unrestricted APRN or PA-C license in Nevada, or ability to obtain
  • Current DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hospice and palliative experience

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $104,500- $156,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
