The Boise Heart Institute is now hiring for a Cardiac Device Specialist that can be either a Medical Assistant OR Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist!
Position Summary & Highlights:The Cardiac Device Specialist takes responsibility for performing interrogations and device testing of internal cardiac devices including cardiac pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, and loop recorder procedures according to protocol and professional standards.
The clinic offers a lot of educational opportunities with bi-weekly lunch and learns with providers and content experts. They also offer online learning modules during orientation to help with cardiac knowledge base.

Provide education to patients regarding manufacturer equipment and device knowledge.
Competently care for the following age groups: Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric as applicable.
Support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members.
Ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
Device Operation/Checks:
Interrogate and complete device testing of internal cardiac device per competency guidelines.
Upload all interrogation and device testing reports to the HER per competency guidelines.
Monitor and create remote download reports for physicians through competency guidelines.
Review accuracy of downloaded device information, edit the information, and enter it into manufacturer sites and the EHR systems.
Schedule patients for appointments appropriately.
May be required to travel between clinics.
Work Schedule:
40 hours a week - 5 - 8 hour shifts, Mondays - Fridays.
Around the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
Must be a Medical Assistant – OR - possess Exercise Physiology Certification as stated below:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or if not registered must provide proof of graduation from ARRT acknowledged radiology program and be ARRT registered within 90 days of graduation.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Performs procedures on patients of all ages, according to approved protocols, radiation safety, and established exam indicators.
Maintains patient and procedure documentation.
Maintains knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams.
Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
Some travel between sites expected when there is a need, especially in low-census scenarios.
