My client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Control Manager.


This role is 5 days onsite, M-F just near Boston. 45-50 hours a week (Paid OT)

Bilingual English/Spanish Required


Position Highlights:

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, GMP, SQF, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Serve as the facility’s SQF Practitioner and primary regulatory contact.
  • Lead all internal and external audits (SQF, regulatory, customer).

Quality Management Systems & Program Oversight

  • Oversee controlled documentation, SOPs, and quality records.
  • Maintain prerequisite programs (Sanitation, Pest Control, Environmental Monitoring).

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Communication

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate Quality Control Technicians.
  • Communicate food safety and quality performance metrics to Production and Senior Management.

Quality Performance, Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze QA data, customer complaints, and audit findings.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.

Non-Conformance & Product Disposition Authority

  • Determine disposition of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods on HOLD.
  • Control release or rejection of nonconforming product.

Operational & Technical Support

  • Support labeling systems programming and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories for product testing.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years (ideally 7-10) of food safety/quality experience in food manufacturing.
  • Proven supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF, USDA-FSIS regulations.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) – mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • SQF Practitioner certification and/or HACCP certification.
  • Experience leading regulatory or third-party audits.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
