What you will do in this role:

You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.

You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions

You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.

You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire.

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.

Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required (6-month grace period given from hire date).

Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) required (6 months grace period given from hire date).

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.

• Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
• Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
• Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding promptly to any complications or side effects. You will provide initial wound care to the patients' surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. We're seeking a fulltime NP with a minimum of two or more of experience to provide fulltime outpatient care. The NP will work in our Adult and Family Care Clinic, caring for patients as an advanced practice provider performing select medical services. This role is designed for psychiatrists who want:
Flexible scheduling, control over their schedule, session structure, and patient population

100% remote, outpatient psychiatry
