Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Hematology and Oncology for a permanent, full-time position near Girard, Ohio.

Daily Expectations and Duties ? Overview

• Diagnosing and treatment.
• Performing medical examinations.
• Administrating or directing health treatment procedures as appropriate.
• Administrating or directing the administration of MAT and other health treatment procedures as appropriate.
• Ordering labs or tests as necessary.
• Consults with the CMO, Medical Director, and other Behavioral Health Providers on treatment of patients to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Provides timely progress notes and other medical reports on all patients.
• Assists with developing and/or implementing in-service training programs designed to upgrade staff's knowledge regarding health concerns and new technology in the health care treatment, including substance treatment.
• Develops policies and procedures regarding medical services and medical components of activities including research, service evaluation and quality assurance in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• Provides prescriptions for medication within the scope of practice in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• On an on-going basis, collaborates with staff of other clinical departments within the Agency to afford a team approach to client care promoting continuity and unified goal setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and completion of accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Current licensure and Certificate of Authority to practice as a Physician
• Assistant in the state of Ohio required. DOT Cert. and X-Waiver preferred.
• BLS & ACLS certification
• 2+ years' experience in family practice environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate effectively with other staff members to provide quality patient care
• Behavioral health experience desirable
• Maintains required training in accordance with the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment Act (MAT Act)
