What Youβll Do:
- Provides occupation therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care and as defined in the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
- Develops treatment program and establishes goals for improved function. Communicates plan of care to referring physician and other Organization professionals as needed.
- May teach new skills or retrain patient in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury, in accordance with our policy.
- May fabricate splints and instruct patient in the use of various types of adaptive equipment to improve function.
- May train patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to the physician any changes in the patientβs condition. Submits these records in accordance with our policy.
- Maintains contact/communication with other personnel involved in the patientβs care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accreditΒed jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- At least Two (2) years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. (Preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance
- Complies and maintains current CPR certification.

What Youβll Do:
- Providing hands-on personal care including Baths, Oral hygiene, Shampoos, changing bed linen, assisting with dressing and undressing, skin care and prevention of skin breakdown, toileting assistance, keeping living area clean and orderly as needed, and other duties within their scope of practice assigned by supervising clinician.
- Taking and recording oral, temporal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
- Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
- Assisting patients in the self-administration of medication.
- Reporting on patientβs condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse or case manager.
Qualifications:
- Certified by the state as a nurse aid.
- Meets the training requirements and successfully completes them.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification, or another certification process as deemed appropriate by agency, state, and federal regulations
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
