Responsibilities will entail help in covering Mammography and Women’s Imaging.

The Mammography and Women’s Imaging Department at QHC performs approximately 11K Mammograms studies per year and does approximately 1,100 biopsies per year. The Radiology Department has 2 state of the Art 3-D Hologic Dimension machines, one Hologic stereotactic machine, two 128 slice CT scanners, a Pet/CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, ultrasound, Diagnostic x-rays/Fluoroscopy suites and Nuclear medicine.

The candidate will be joining two Full time Mammographers to provide services. The Women’s department is supported by 2 Nurses, 3 technologists and 1 Breast Imaging Supervisor.

New York City Health + Hospital Queens, an acute care facility, is part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country and serves the most culturally diverse in the world with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. Queens hospital is designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Division of Neurology is currently comprised of a growing faculty, including two stroke neurologists, a neuromuscular neurologist, two epileptologists and three general neurologists, who work together in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The hospital has achieved the Joint Commission’s gold seal of approval for disease-specific care for primary stroke, AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center and partial thrombectomy capable interventional services, moving to become fully thrombectomy capable 24/7/365 in April 2024 with the addition of a team of trained neurointerventional specialists on site. There is a very active neurosurgical service, state of the art neurological imaging studies and epilepsy platform with an EMU beginning in April 2024 as well. The hospital is a full-service tertiary care hospital, with the addition of cardiac surgery in 2025, along with many other additions to the Department of Medicine, which has a Internal Medicine Residency, gastroenterology fellowships, with the expected addition soon of additional fellowship and training programs.
