Schedule: Monday through Friday 10-hour day shifts only No call required Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient Facility includes 24 operating rooms in a 720-bed hospital Patient Demographics: Age range: 1 year and older Average of 50 patients per shift Responsibilities: General anesthesiology cases only; no cardiac anesthesia required.

Cases include: General surgery, orthopedic, trauma, OB, neuro, vascular, and regional anesthesia.

Excludes cardiac and pediatric cardiac cases.

Skills required: Epidural and spinal anesthesia Regional blocks (including post-operative extremity blocks) Ventilation and central line management Requirements: Board Certification in Anesthesiology Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications Minimum of 2 weeks of availability per month preferred, with full-time coverage highly desirable.

Must have a clean malpractice history and NPDB.

Experience with EPIC EMR is required.

Support and Resources: Collaborative team of anesthesiologists, LPNs, anesthesia techs, and NPs.

No supervision of advance practice providers required.

I. PURPOSE OF JOB:

Under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon, will first assist in surgical procedures to treat various conditions, illness and injury including assisting in the treatment of any surgical procedures in which the supervising physician or substitute supervising physician is credentialed. This position will include but not limited to first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances and any other action delegated by the surgeon.
