Overview:
We are looking for an Automotive Training & Development Consultant located in the Detroit, Michigan area.
This position is responsible for analysis, research, development and delivery of manufacturing processes and technical launch training with on-site support to OEM vehicle assembly plants in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Duties:
- Provide on-site training and support at each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants.
- Instruct and consult plant process and repair personnel to improve their understanding of the vehicle and its highly intricate and interconnected systems and subsystems.
- Present and demonstrate efficient and effective methods of diagnosing and correcting vehicle assembly, vehicle electrical systems and sub-system deficiencies.
- Conduct root cause analysis to accurately identify the cause(s) of assembly and vehicle deficiencies.
- Act as the training liaison between product/manufacturing engineering and general assembly by creating, designing and developing training materials related to vehicle assembly process, electrical harness manufacture, vehicle electrical system architectures and schematics.
- Communicate and share lessons learned, developed training materials and information gathered in support of one plant project with remaining plants on a timely basis.
- Analyze and identify future training needs for each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants.
- Support and participate in plant launch meetings and provide training reports to management, the OEM management and OEM launch teams.
- Interface with engineering, component suppliers and vendors to validate and develop training materials for the manufacturing process, vehicle and vehicle electrical sub-systems prior to the Start of Regular Production (SORP).
- Research and compile manufacturing processes and technical information to be included in training course materials, such as, but not limited to engineering schematics, work in process service information, engineering documents, engineering math data and manufacturing reports.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology, engineering or other related discipline with 5 years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor. Or High school diploma with eight years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor may be considered in lieu of an associate's degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive systems from an advanced diagnostics perspective.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing tracking and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing dynamic vehicle testing systems.
- Ability to develop professional training materials using pre-launch documents.
- Ability to read and interpret a digital multimeter, OEM diagnostic scan tool and other automotive related diagnostic test equipment.
- Ability to effectively conduct one-on-one and group presentations Ability to interpret early engineering level electrical schematic diagrams.
- Ability to read OEM supplier electrical harness prints.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for owning the full product life cycle of Epoch Sports' hard-goods equipment (e.g., lacrosse, hockey, and baseball/softball lines) from concept through end-of-life. Operating out of our Detroit headquarters and collaborating daily with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Finance, the Product Manager will translate athlete insights and market analytics into profitable, best-in-class products that reinforce Epoch's reputation for performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Road-Mapping
- Build and maintain a 3-year product roadmap aligned with corporate strategy, category trends, and revenue/profit targets.
- Conduct market segmentation, competitor benchmarking, pricing analysis, and consumer research to identify white-space opportunities
- New Product Development (NPD)
- Author product briefs with clear value propositions, feature sets, volumes, cost targets, and launch timing; secure cross-functional approval through stage-gate process.
- Serve as the Program Manager for assigned NPD projects—driving timeline adherence, risk mitigation, and milestone communication.
- Champion voice-of-customer (VOC) testing with athletes, coaches, and dealers; translate feedback into actionable design requirements.
- Lifecycle Management
- Monitor sell-through, margin, and inventory health post-launch; drive cost-reduction, line extensions, or end-of-life decisions.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance to manage SKU rationalization and maintain optimal inventory turns.
- Commercial Readiness
- Partner with Marketing to build go-to-market (GTM) assets—positioning statements, feature/benefit narratives, packaging, POP, and digital content.
- Train Sales Reps, Customer Service, and Retail Partners on product knowledge, differentiation, and competitive advantages.
- Source additional manufacturing equipment to bring products to market.
- Financial Ownership
- Own P&L for assigned categories—set pricing, forecast volumes, track COGS, and optimize gross margin.
- Prepare business cases and ROI analyses for capital expenditures or tooling investments.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay abreast of emerging materials, technologies, and consumer trends; recommend patent or IP opportunities.
- Facilitate cross-functional retrospectives to capture lessons learned and refine the Product Development Process (PDP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Design, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of product management experience in consumer goods; sporting-goods or performance equipment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success launching products from concept through commercialization with measurable revenue impact.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and familiarity with PLM/ERP systems.
- Strong project-management skills—ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage overlapping priorities, and hit aggressive timelines.

The AV Supervisor will oversee daily operational activities for the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Drive Operations Program across designated city sites. This role ensures smooth field operations, compliance with safety standards, quality of service delivery, and team performance. Responsibilities
As an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test complex electronic systems related to aviation on tactical jets, fixed wing aircraft or rotary winged helicopter systems. In this role, you can expect to work with systems including digital computers, fiber optics, infrared detection, radar, laser electronics, navigation, pressure indication, and electrical power generation and distribution. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Installing modifications to aircraft electronic systems
- Performing micro-miniature module repair on computer circuit cards
- Performing electrical diagnostics
- Reading electrical system diagrams
- Repairing and maintaining power generators and electric motors

Work Environment

Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes(known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training, including:
Class "A" Technical School (19 weeks) in Pensacola, FL, for training in basic aviation theory and technical knowledge, aviation electrical systems, and electrical and electronics theory and skills.
After you complete training, you may be assigned to a naval air station, squadron, aircraft carrier or other aviation facility. Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.
Advanced Training
Advanced training as an Aviation Electronics Technician may also be available during later stages of your career. For those with further leadership aspirations and a college degree, Officerroles may be available, providing opportunities to lead and train others.

You should be competent working with tools, equipment and machines to perform detailed precision work. Strong arithmetic, writing, speaking and academic study skills are also necessary. Part-Time Opportunities
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Aviation Electronics Technicians in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, you may serve anywhere in the world, including locations in the U.S., at bases overseas, or in areas where humanitarian needs are great.

Base Compensation
- $60,000 – $70,000(First-time carrier to experienced carrier)
Additional Benefits
- $250 monthly expense allowance
