Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologist with imaging procedures starting IV's and injecting contrast if applicable.
  • Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Film transmits to PACS.
  • Charge procedures and supplies correctly.
  • Assists in the administration and administers various chemical substances to render specific organs or systems more opaque. Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
  • Reviews patient charts and requests with the radiologist to ensure the proper examination and diagnostic results are obtained.
  • Quality controls all images maintains inventory and adheres to safety regulations. Participates in training of department personnel including students.
  • Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assist with providing orientation and training to new CT technologists.
  • Manage scheduling and patient flow on multiple interventional CT scanners.
  • Assist with research and development with CT equipment manufacturer to develop new CT software and new technologies when asked.
  • Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols.
  • Monitor charging of CT procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness.
  • Participates in inter or intra departmental performance improvement.
  • Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements. Explains and prepares the patient for the exam requested.
  • Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain the maximum diagnostic image corresponding to body parts.
  • Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety department safety and specific job-related hazards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Maryland State License required

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT required
  • Certified Cat Scan Technologist required
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required

We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join Springside Infusion’s growing team. In this role, you’ll provide care to an adult population in our outpatient infusion centers in Maryland.


The Nurse Practitioner will partner with the leadership team as we open additional clinics.


This position will report to the CEO and will work closely with the staff at each clinic.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with providing care planning and managing intravenous therapies.
  • Follow orders of the referring physician by implementing medical therapy and treatment plans for patients seen in the clinic.
  • Monitor patients while on therapy to evaluate for side effects and to evaluate for expected outcomes.
  • Implement changes to a patient’s care plan as directed by the referring provider.

Documentation, orders, and interdisciplinary coordination

  • Dictate clinic notes and other pertinent data that are necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Proactively provide information to referring physicians.
  • Provide detailed and comprehensive documentation of all patient care-related services as part of the clinic’s medical record.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team not limited to referring providers or specialists.

Customer service and patient experience

  • Show professionalism in person and on the telephone with coworkers, patients, visitors, and supervisors.
  • Warmly greet patients and visitors and demonstrate kindness in daily actions.
  • Always seeks to satisfy a dissatisfied customer. Handle and resolve patient complaints non-defensively and without blame on other employees.

Operational & leadership responsibilities

  • Attend clinic meetings and other meetings with program leadership.
  • Complete all necessary training courses and other applicable clinical software systems.

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner; must be licensed as an NP in the state of Maryland
  • 10+ years of experience as a registered nurse and/or nurse practitioner
  • Experience with infusion services
  • Maintain a Controlled and Dangerous Substance License in Maryland
  • Maintain Maryland Controlled Substance License
  • Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with oncology or specialty pharmacy strongly preferred

Starting salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 plus bonus opportunity

Position Summary

Registered Nurses in our Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion clinic provide independent, evidence-based care to adult patients receiving biologic therapies for chronic conditions. Working collaboratively with a small care team, the RN manages infusion sessions from start to finish, ensuring safe medication administration, close patient monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.


Key Responsibilities


  • Independently manage outpatient infusion sessions for adult patients receiving biologic and immunologic therapies.
  • Administer intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and subcutaneous (SubQ) medications according to established protocols.
  • Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and administer ordered pre-medications prior to infusion therapy.
  • Safely initiate and titrate IV infusions, including performing weight-based medication calculations.
  • Monitor patients during and after treatment for adverse reactions or changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Review and interpret patient charts, treatment orders, and clinical documentation prior to administration of therapy.
  • Prepare medications and assemble appropriate infusion supplies while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Document treatments, patient responses, and any adverse events accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR.
  • Communicate effectively with providers and care team members regarding patient status and treatment outcomes.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to support high-quality, patient-centered care in the infusion environment.


Required Qualifications


  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or eligibility for licensure in Maryland.
  • Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in infusion therapy, biologic/immunologic therapy, home health, or acute care.
  • Current BLS (Healthcare Provider level) certification.
  • Strong IV insertion and medication administration skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage patient care in a solo-nurse outpatient setting.
  • Excellent critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in outpatient infusion services, oncology, or specialty pharmacy settings.
  • ACLS certification.


Physical & Professional Requirements


  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while providing patient care.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., IV fluids and medical supplies).
  • Strong adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Professional, calm, and supportive presence when caring for patients receiving complex therapies.

Starting Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE + 10% bonus eligibility
