Contract Project Manager – 503B Aseptic Modular Cleanroom Build

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead the design, construction, validation, and operational readiness of a new 503B Outsourcing Facility in Charleston, SC. This project involves the build-out of a modular cleanroom pharmaceutical manufacturing area, within an existing structure, to be compliant with U.S. FDA 503B regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as outlined in 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211.

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of the facility build, including planning, vendor coordination, cleanroom installation, utilities integration, validation, regulatory readiness, and handoff to operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of a modular cleanroom manufacturing and supporting structure area build.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Validation, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, cleanroom vendors, equipment suppliers, and consultants.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timeline and budget.

Facility Design & Construction Oversight

  • Oversee modular cleanroom design, fabrication, delivery, and installation.
  • Ensure facility layout supports compliant workflows, material/personnel flows, and environmental controls.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, HEPA filtration, and critical utility systems (WFI, clean steam, compressed gases, etc.).
  • Manage general contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and cGMP requirements.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

  • Ensure facility design and build align with Section 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) and applicable FDA guidance.
  • Support readiness for FDA inspection and state Board of Pharmacy requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Validation teams to ensure proper documentation (URS, FS, DS, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols).
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP standards and applicable USP chapters (e.g., USP , ).

Validation & Commissioning

  • Oversee commissioning and qualification activities for cleanrooms and critical systems.
  • Coordinate environmental monitoring setup and validation activities.
  • Support process simulation activities for sterility assurance.
  • Support development of SOPs related to facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure successful facility turnover to Manufacturing and Quality teams.

Budget & Reporting

  • Manage capital expenditure budget and vendor contracts.
  • Track project performance metrics and provide regular executive-level updates.
  • Ensure change control processes are followed for scope, schedule, and budget modifications.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or sterile compounding environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading construction or expansion of GMP-regulated manufacturing facilities.
  • Direct experience with cleanroom builds (ISO 7/8 and higher classification preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of FDA cGMP regulations and 503B outsourcing facility requirements.
  • Experience managing modular construction projects preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Project and/or other project management software.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-vendor, cross-functional projects with aggressive timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Life Sciences, or related field (PMP certification preferred).

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience building or remediating a 503B outsourcing facility.

Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7:30am). Ashley River Tower (ART) perioperative services is located on the fourth floor of the ART building.  The ART PACU is a 12-bed unit that provides post-operative care for a diverse population of adult outpatient and inpatient surgeries through various surgical service lines. These include general, plastics, oncology, cardiac, interventional cardiology, thoracic, vascular, colorectal, bariatric, and robotics.  ART PACU is open 24/7 except Sunday night, the unit is closed from 7:30pm- 7:30am, with normal Operating Room hours from 7:00am-7:30pm Monday- Friday.  PACU call teams are in place Friday PM-Monday AM for add-on cases on the weekends. The clinical programs that service ART are recognized for excellence in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, transplant surgery, as well as general and GI surgery and is nationally recognized for management of chronic pancreatitis, and bariatric surgery. ART PACU focuses care on post-operative recovery from anesthesia including ERAS, pain, respiratory status, hemodynamic stability, and prevention of post-operative complications. Job Summary/Purpose:

The Licensed Practical Nurse-Surgical Tech (LPN-ST) reports to the RN Team Coordinator.  Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPN-ST provides individualized, goal directed and family centered patient care and functions as a member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies, instrumentation and equipment used in surgical procedures and performs appropriate room duties involved with the direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines.  The LPN-ST demonstrates proficiency according to the Laws governing nursing in South Carolina. High School Diploma. Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program.  At least one year of work experience as a Certified Surgical Tech required. The CST II is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills and behaviors consistent with competent practice.  Competency develops when candidates utilize higher level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  They should possess advanced relevant surgical skills for area of practice and apply their knowledge to emergency situations as they may arise in the operating room.  Competent CST II’s use conscious, abstract reasoning and problem solving in planning collaboration with their peers to assess the needs of the patient and surgeon during the surgical procedure.  Competent CST II’s practice autonomously in assisting with other duties such as assisting providers and nurses with vaginal deliveries, supply restocking, instrument flow, front desk customer service and engagement.  Competent CST II’s are essential to the organization because of their efficiency, ability to set priorities and confidence in managing most situations within their clinical specialty.  CST II’s may remain at a competent level indefinitely throughout their career.

Job Description Summary

The ICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a valued member of the intensive care team who has coordination and clinical skills required for the comprehensive management of critical care medicine patients. Through relationships in an interprofessional culture that supports all members of the healthcare team, the APP will demonstrate specialized skills in the care of patients and families undergoing operative and other invasive procedures.   • The majority of shifts include weekend coverage. APP may request off 4 weekend shifts every 3 blocks (12 weeks) or average thereof, to allow for the same total weekend shifts over a year.
