• Experience: No minimum post-training anesthesiology experience required
  
• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
  
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved anesthesiology residency
  
• Board Certified Anesthesiologist (board certification or fellowship required)
  
• Active physician license (candidates needing to obtain Virginia medical licensure are accepted)
  
• ECFMG and FLEX (if applicable)
  
• Comfort working in a care-team environment and supervising CRNAs as needed

• Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care across the listed case types
  
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthetic plans
  
• Obtain and/or verify informed consent; educate patients on anesthetic options and risks
  
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  
• Continuously monitor and document patient physiologic status and respond to changes promptly
  
• Perform clinical interventions (airway, hemodynamic, and pain management) as needed
  
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing, and perioperative services to optimize outcomes
  
• Assist with directing and coordinating activities within the anesthesia department, as assigned
