Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.Job RequirementsEducation

Following are the essential functions of the job.
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients' medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educating and counseling patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
- Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift which will be assigned by an authorized representative of GoHealth Urgent Care
- All other duties as assigned
