Factory / Plant Manager – Job Summary

The Factory/Plant Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees daily plant operations, develops and executes strategic business plans, and drives continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles. The position focuses on optimizing cost, productivity, inventory, and delivery performance while fostering a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

The Factory Manager will lead and mentor a high-performing team, manage key performance metrics, and implement systems for production planning, capacity management, and quality control. This role also supports technology investments, process improvements, and change management efforts that enhance profitability and scalability.

Qualified candidates typically have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and team development is essential.

The Project Engineer Position

The Project Engineer supports the successful execution of construction projects by assisting with project planning, coordination, and documentation. Responsibilities include document control, RFIs, submittals, schedule updates, subcontractor review and management, coordination of material suppliers and more! The Project Engineer will help support the team to ensure projects are completed on time and in accordance with project budget and requirements.

The Project Engineer works directly alongside the Division Manager and Project Management team will be intimately involved in assisting the team throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Project Engineer Position

• At least one year of experience in the construction industry is required
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required
• Strong desire to actively contribute to a continuous improvement environment

The Project Manager/Estimator works directly with the Division Manager and leads the project team from conception to completion by preparing cost estimates, handling quantity take-offs and submitting proposals. Upon successful bid, the PM/Estimator handles operations duties including project budgets, scheduling, and procurement.

Collaboration with staff is key to ensuring projects are bid accurately and completed according to specifications. The Project Manager/Estimator position offers the opportunity to be both hands-on and collaborative in the implementation of new processes, while living up to Merlo’s Value Statement of “What got us here, won’t get us there!”

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
• A minimum of 2 years of Construction Estimating or Operations experience is required

If you are considering becoming a surrogate, it is important to understand both the medical process and the emotional journey involved. Our team ensures you are fully informed, supported, and cared for throughout the entire experience.

Gestational Carrier Requirements

To ensure a safe and successful journey for both carrier and baby, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Between 21–39 years old
• U.S. citizen living in a surrogate-friendly state
• Have delivered at least one child and are currently parenting
• No more than two (2) C-sections
• Not receiving government or public assistance (including Medicaid, WIC, SNAP/Food Stamps, or state-funded health insurance)
• No history of pregnancy complications (including gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, or pre-term labor)
• No history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or major depressive disorder
• Not currently taking medications unsafe for pregnancy (including certain mental health medications)
• Able to travel for medical screening, monitoring, and embryo transfer appointments
• Live a healthy lifestyle free of illicit or recreational drug use
• Have a stable home environment and strong support system

Compensation & Benefits

We recognize the commitment, time, and care involved in being a gestational carrier. Compensation includes:

Base Compensation

• $60,000 – $70,000(First-time carrier to experienced carrier)

Additional Benefits

• $250 monthly expense allowance
• $500 maternity clothing allowance
• $10,500 for multiple birth
• Up to $10,000 for loss of organs (per contract terms)
• Lost wages (carrier and spouse, if applicable — based on employment verification)
• Travel reimbursement
• $200 per week for housekeeping (if medically necessary)
• $20 per hour for childcare (if medically necessary)

All medical expenses, legal representation, and services related to the surrogacy journey are covered.
