Unit Overview:

Join the Emergency Psychiatric Services Department at one of New England’s most comprehensive behavioral health facilities. The Crisis Psychiatric Unit provides care to patients ages 5 and up with acute psychiatric needs, including major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, psychotic disorders, and patients seeking detox services. Some patients may also have concurrent medical needs.

Role Highlights:

- Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
- Develop and update individualized, interdisciplinary care plans
- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify appropriate resources
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
- Manage high‑acuity psychiatric emergencies in a fast‑paced setting

Requirements:

- Active Maine RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- BLS certification required
- CPI certification must be current prior to start
- 1+ year of mental health nursing experience (required)

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration
