Position Highlights: Specialty: Pediatric Hospitalist Coverage Type: Call only (24-hour coverage) Setting: Inpatient; no outpatient responsibilities Start Dates: April 24???28, 2025 May 1???3, 2025 June 2???3, 2025 October 6???10, 2025 (starting at 5 PM) November 24???December 1, 2025 Key Responsibilities: Admissions and patient management with an average of 2???5 patients per shift.

Handle acute and chronic cases, including neonatal and pediatric ventilation management.

Provide procedures such as intubation, central lines, lumbar punctures, and other pediatric-specific interventions.

Requirements: Board Eligibility required; Board Certification preferred.

Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ABLS.

Facility Features: 16-bed department with full inpatient support staff, including RNs and MAs.

Temporary privileges available with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 45???60 days (can be expedited with a clean history).

EMR system: Paragon.

Trauma Level: Not applicable; Pediatric Level: 1.

Additional Details: Call response time: 20 minutes.

Average daily admissions: 3???8.

Part Time for Busy Multi-Specialist Clinic, located in Burlington, NC.

Job Type: Full-time Duties Include, but not limited to the following:

• When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient's record in EPIC; write progress note; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient
• Carry out therapeutic procedures such as wound suturing and dressing changes; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician, and maintain record of each patient's progress.
• Goes to Alamance Regional Medical Center to do hospital consultations.
