- Position: Locum Tenens Physician - Pediatric Nephrology (Per Diem)

- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
- On-Call: Monday 7 am to following Monday 7 am (evenings & weekends)
- Minimum Commitment: 1 week per month (ideally 2 weeks)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics - Nephrology (Pediatric Nephrologist)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nephrology experience preferred
- Ability to read EEGs (required for this role)
- Hemodialysis experience required; experience with pediatric dialysis and peritoneal dialysis (acute/chronic) preferred
- Experience managing complex renal conditions such as Bartter's Syndrome, Fabry Disease, Fanconi Syndrome, Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome, Hepatorenal Syndrome, and Renal Transplant care (preferred)
- Experience with percutaneous renal biopsy and needle biopsy of the kidney (preferred)
- Provide pediatric nephrology care for inpatient and outpatient populations at a children's hospital and outpatient clinic
- See a minimum of five outpatients daily in clinic (pediatric nephrology clinic)
- Perform inpatient rounds and consults (approximately 70% inpatient, 30% outpatient)
- Be available for calls during evenings and weekends throughout the on-call week
- Perform hemodialysis and pediatric nephrology procedures as needed
- Read EEGs as required by the hospital and collaborate with neurology when indicated
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nephrology, transplant, dialysis nursing, social work, and pediatrics) to ensure comprehensive patient care
