Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F
Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. Investigates and assists in reducing possible environmental hazards
Performs pre-placement history and physical assessment for new colleagues
Performs health assessments for current colleagues
Assesses occupational injury/illnesses and administers first aid
Performs case management of worker's compensation claims including OSHA log documentation
Promotes culture of wellness / performs health promotion activities

.9 FTE, 8 hour shifts

Weekend call rotations
Minimum Qualifications:
Active IA RN license
BSN preferred
Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in nursing required

Our 20-bed unit at Waterloo Medical Center specializes in the care of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery and neuro medical patients. This unit was designed with our patients and families in mind as our wellness rooms are safer for patients, feature a pull-out bed for families and private lobby space for visitors.
