Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing maintenance activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of equipment and facilities. The planner develops and implements maintenance plans, manages work orders, and parts to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The planner works closely with other departments to support continuous improvement and safety initiatives along with production downtime, and preventive and predictive maintenance controls.


*This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures. The planner reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and may require occasional evening or weekend work to address urgent maintenance issues or complete special projects.


Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to –

  • Develop and update preventive maintenance plans, schedules, and repairs to minimize disruptions to operations due to equipment failure
  • Create and manage work orders for maintenance tasks (properly defined) and ensure work is completed on time
  • Allocate the necessary resources for maintenance tasks, including man, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Verification and validation of work orders and repairs performed
  • Daily tracking of production schedule to identify opportunities for executing maintenance activities
  • Utilizing CMMS (e-work orders) to track maintenance activities, manage assets, and generate regular reports and present it to the team
  • Order the parts & maintain safe inventory levels to carry out the repairs and tasks without delay
  • Perform goods receipt and other related tasks in SAP to facilitate timely payments to vendors
  • Responsible for keeping the parts area clean and well-maintained
  • Plan the maintenance tasks in advance for shutdown and complete them during shutdown
  • Implementing proactive maintenance measures to prevent potential disruptions
  • Routine inspection of equipment, utilities and facility to identify potential issues and schedule repairs as needed
  • Work with maintenance technicians, supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment service reports, contracts and compliance reports
  • Analyze equipment history and other data to identify trends and patterns to inform maintenance planning decisions
  • Investigating maintenance-related problems, analyzing root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent issues
  • Communicate with the team for any special assignments.
  • Responsible for the quality and safety of products produced, including machinery used by Sunny Sky Products.
  • Entering Goods Receipts into SAP system for Maintenance Purchases.

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Tech to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

  • Read and interpret blueprints in order to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
  • Install new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects.
  • Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.
  • Work and coordinate with various onsite contractors and trades to resolve coordination conflicts in the field.
  • Assist with job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Modify designs appropriately as needed and in accordance with code compliance.
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other field installers and helpers.
  • Comply with industry standard procedures and Sciens safety programs/policies.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry.
  • Enrolled in and actively going through Sprinkler Apprentice Program.
  • Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.
  • Strong understanding of all sprinkler system components and how they work.
  • Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required.
  • Intermediate understanding of NFPA 13 code requirements.
  • Ability to read and install from fire system design drawings and documentation, including system zoning.
  • Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely.

Gestational Carrier Requirements

To ensure a safe and successful journey for both carrier and baby, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Between 21–39 years old
  • U.S. citizen living in a surrogate-friendly state
  • Have delivered at least one child and are currently parenting
  • No more than two (2) C-sections
  • Not receiving government or public assistance (including Medicaid, WIC, SNAP/Food Stamps, or state-funded health insurance)
  • No history of pregnancy complications (including gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, or pre-term labor)
  • No history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or major depressive disorder
  • Not currently taking medications unsafe for pregnancy (including certain mental health medications)
  • Able to travel for medical screening, monitoring, and embryo transfer appointments
  • Live a healthy lifestyle free of illicit or recreational drug use

We recognize the commitment, time, and care involved in being a gestational carrier. Compensation includes:

Salary and Duty Location Recruitment Incentives and Benefits

Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-9: $61,111 - $124,443 per year

Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.

Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, generous annual and sick leave, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan.

LOCATION INCENTIVES: If you accept one of the duty locations listed below, you may be eligible to receive an additional 15%-25% of your salary each year for the first three (3) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. Some locations may offer 25% for four (4) years.

Duty locations offering 25% recruitment incentives: Otay Mesa, San Francisco, San Ysidro, and Tecate, CA; Key West, FL; etc.

Duty locations offering 15% recruitment incentives: Honolulu, HI; Portal, ND; etc.

Duty location offering 10% recruitment incentives: Calexico, CA

Qualifications:

You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:

  • Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
  • Enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping.
  • Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats.
  • Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity.

Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR

Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education.

Other Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Residency: Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
  • Age Restriction: Must be referred before your 40th birthday (some exceptions apply).
  • Veterans Preference: Eligible veterans may qualify for excepted service appointment.

Formal Training: Includes two-week orientation and 101-day academy at FLETC in Glynco, GA. Spanish training may be required for certain locations.
