Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.
What you will do in this role:
- Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician in accordance withtheAssociation of Surgical Technologists
- Assistin preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments
- Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures,drains, needles, and dressings
- Assistin the turnover of the operating roomsuites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces
- Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available
Qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred
- Surgical Tech Certification
- One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***Online certification not acceptable

Job Summary and QualificationsResponsible for providing high quality intra - and interfacility advanced life support including assessment, triage, treatment and transport utilizing standards and guidelines established by the State of Texas and Methodist Healthcare Medical Director(s). - Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched transport within the specified time frame
- Responsible for daily base checks, which includes narcotic count.
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
- Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing clinical experiences.
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Paramedic.
- Preferred: 5 years of 911 or similar agency with advanced protocol.

Job Summary and QualificationsGeneral Statement of Duties:
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with the delivery of quality surgical care through planning and anticipating the surgeon/procedure needs and coordinating with the circulating perioperative nurse during surgical procedures. Demonstrates competency in surgical technology to include all major surgical specialty areas; includes gathering and preparing sterile supplies, equipment, preparing/maintaining the sterile field and assisting the surgeon by supplying sterile instruments/supplies to the sterile field in a safe and efficient manner. Performs routine scrub role as well specifically delegated department duties. Consistently follows current AORN and regulatory standards and established policies and procedures of the System.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
1. Education:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
- Graduate of a surgical technologist program OR hires prior to 9/1/2009 may substitute with 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
2. Experience: None required (unless used in lieu of education as stated above).
3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
A. NON-CERTIFIED: No license, certificate or registrations required for the Sterile Processing Department All other departments no license, certificate or registration required if they meet the below provision: Per Texas HB 643, surgical technologists entering practice after 09/01/2009 must have and maintain a surgical technologist certification. Individuals that performed in a surgical technologist position prior to 09/01/2009 are not required to obtain a surgical technologist certification.
B. CERTIFIED: Must have and maintain ONE of the following:
- CST – Certified Surgical Technologist through the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) (formally the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist) OR
- TS-C- Tech in Surgery, Certified through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Essential Job Functions:
1. Plans for and obtains the equipment and supplies needed for assigned procedures according to physicians' preference and specific patient needs.
2. Prepares equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications for uses during surgical procedures. Opens sterile packs, instruments and supplies for each procedure according to established aseptic techniques and protocols.
3. Monitors sterile field during procedure and takes appropriate measures to insure integrity of sterile field and maintenance of sterile techniques. Initiates corrective action for any break in technique.
4. Prepares medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse, according to physician’s orders.
5. Maintains accountability for instruments, sponges and sharps, according to hospital policy throughout the surgical procedure to ensure that no foreign objects are retained in the surgical wound. Takes appropriate action if item count is not correct and informs the appropriate staff.
6. Consistently follows safety procedures and protocols for Timeout and when handling sharp instruments, powered equipment, hazardous chemicals and lasers.
7. Performs high-level disinfection using established policies and procedures as required.
Additional Job Functions:
1. May handle, pick up, deliver and/or stock non-controlled medications as directed by a licensed team member.
2. Maintains an efficient controlled O.R. environment by processing and re-stocking supplies and equipment.
3. Ensures the integrity and safety of the specimen prior to pathology procedures. Collects and labels specimens for diagnostic lab per hospital policy and procedure.
4. Assists with providing care for the patient both pre-, intra, and post specialized procedure. Will aid with transporting and positioning patient on the operating bed, specific to operative procedure, type of anesthetics to be used, and use of protective devices as indicated.
5. Supports the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System. Understands and is committed to helping the Methodist Healthcare System and its associated facilities achieve its goals.
6. Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools and materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any function.
7. Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.
8. Completes other duties as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications
General Statement of Duties: Under the direction of the licensed anesthetist and the RN, the Anesthesia Technician provides anesthesia support to the licensed anesthetist during surgical procedures. 2. Consistently uses aseptic technique, and correctly sets up and prepares needed supplies and equipment for invasive line monitoring. Assists the anesthetist in the preparation and draping for invasive line placement and monitoring.
3. Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures. Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service.
4. Ensures utilized equipment is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use; performs basic equipment troubleshooting as necessary. Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs. Properly cleans and stores equipment after use. Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion.
5. Consistently cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and ensures availability of utilized anesthesia equipment according to AORN standards and practices.
6. Works in collaboration with the circulating RN and assists with the placement of non-invasive monitoring devices (blood pressure cuff, EKG leads and pulse oximeter probe), patient transport and positioning, as directed.

Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Certified Cardiac Device Tech – Level 2 who possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge of cardiac device therapy.
What you will do in this role:
- Interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision. Trouble shoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution. Collaborate with EP nurses, physicians, vendor representatives and non-physicians with direct patient care, device status and accurately document device analysis in EMR for review.
- Educate patients on all aspects of their device including remote monitoring and follow-up protocol.
- Ensure charges are accurately captured for device interrogation.
- Enrollment, scheduling, education, and maintenance of patients in various remote monitoring platforms (Carelink, Latitude, Merlin, and Biotronik).
- Monitor patients following established protocols.
- Schedule patients for device appointment follow up in EMR and remote website.
- Immediately contact “no show” patients to ensure they are re-scheduled.
- Consistently travel to regional or satellite offices for assigned device clinics.
- Participate in positive, proactive inter- and intra-departmental communication.
- Promote a healthy clinical environment and good working relationships.
- Serve as resource to physicians and other practice employees regarding device patients and services.
- Keep equipment in good working condition and notify appropriate personnel of problem areas or safety issues.
What Qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION:
- High School degree or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years’ experience of Cardiovascular/Cardiology Technician required.
- May include multiple cardiac settings- EP lab, Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Minimum of two years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemakers, ICD’s, ILR’s and CRT devices of all manufacturers (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Abbott/St. Jude) required.
- Current experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions is strongly preferred Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) from International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) required.
- BLS Certification is required.

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a vital role in providing vigilant, high-level care to patients transitioning from the ICU. You’ll help patients get stronger, avoid complications, and take steps toward healing. You’ll work closely with a skilled critical care team committed to improving lives every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing hands-on care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), managing tubes and drains, and assisting with advanced monitoring
- Monitoring closely for changes in heart rate, oxygen levels, or neurological status and quickly alerting the team to support early treatment
- Keeping clear and timely records to help the team work together and keep patients safe
- Helping patients and families understand their condition and feel supported as they navigate serious conditions and recovery steps
- Working closely with RNs, doctors, and specialists to help patients stabilize and move forward from intensive care
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse or GVN Permit
- Vocational or Associates Degree School Graduate
