Work Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday 4:00pm-8:00pm, rotating Friday/Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm
Job Responsibilities:- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric patients
- 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation required
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Bilingual English/Spanish required

**Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.50 per hour

Licensure/Certifications: None upon hire After graduation from an ophthalmic technician education course, staff in the Ophthalmic Assistant position are required to become certified ophthalmic assistants within the first year of employment.
