General Summary of Position
MedSTAR Transport within MedStar Health is actively seeking Emergency Vehicle Operators/ Emergency Medical Techs to provide basic patient medical care during interfacility ambulance transport. You will perform medical procedures under the supervision of a transport paramedic, transport nurse, or established protocol.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operates the ground ambulance obeying all driving laws.
- Conducts an inspection of the assigned ambulance at the beginning of each shift to ensure the ambulance is ready and safe for use.
- As part of the programs safety management system, provides feedback and participates in program safety initiatives.
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Ensures cleanliness and appropriate par levels of supplies in transport vehicle(s).
- Establishes and maintains professional radio communications with MedSTAR and other agencies, adhering to appropriate FCC protocols.
- Initiates department standing orders in appropriate patients. Performs basic airway techniques including oxygen therapy. May perform bag-mask ventilation according to established departmental protocols in emergency situations.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment of caring for patients and families. Provides basic patient comfort measures during procedures. When necessary, provides environmental support to expedite timely patient admission or transfer. Identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve the environment of care.
- Participates in MedSTAR Transport safety program. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of an approved EMT course required
- Completion of an approved emergency vehicle driving course prior to release from orientation required
Experience
- 1-2 years EMT experience strongly preferred
License / Certification
- NREMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Basic (EMT-B) required
- EMT - Emergency Medical Tech in the District of Columbia within 30 Days required
- EMT - Emergency Medical Tech in Maryland required

General Summary of Position
Collaborates and consults with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe efficacious and cost-effective prescribing dispensing administration and monitoring of medication in the provision of pharmaceutical care. In so doing the pharmacist must have current specialized drug knowledge and demonstrate judgment communication skills self-direction and motivation to affect positive interventions in patient outcomes beyond those exhibited by those in a Clinical Pharmacist I position. Participate in educational programs as necessary to provide basic and advanced services of the Pharmacy Department. Additionally perform in the Clinical Pharmacist I role with its accountabilities and job activities pertaining to drug distribution supervision and non- dispensing functions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and thoroughness. Resolves discrepancies of medication orders through communication with the physician clinical pharmacist or nursing staff and dispenses medication.
- Assesses feasibility compounds or verifies the compounding of extemporaneous products. Recommends alternative products when appropriate.
- Prepares IV admixtures and compounds sterile products including but not limited to: large volume parenteral mini-bags TPN solutions and hazardous agents including cytotoxic drugs.
- Reviews patient profile to determine contraindications with the prescription. Screens drugs/dosages to assure appropriateness based on the therapeutic intent and the patient's physiological functions. Participates in monitoring drug therapy under the supervision of a clinical level pharmacist or above when working in a decentralized setting.

- Provides functional supervision for support personnel. Monitors attendance and work quality organizes and prioritizes resources based on workload and productivity and directs the workflow of support personnel. Ensures departmental standards and time frames are met.
- Enters and verifies computer entries and data for drug orders. In decentralized setting may instruct patients/families on the safe use of medications and counsel them on potential adverse effects.
- Monitors drug therapy of assigned patients and takes appropriate action to ensure optimum patient drug therapy drug selection and minimal adverse reaction. Assures drugs/dosages are accurate based on the therapeutic intent and the patient's physiologic functions. Reviews patient profile to determine possible contraindications with the prescription.
- Participates autonomously in-patient care rounds. Reviews patient specific data to evaluate patient's status and medication needs and develops a therapeutic plan. Counsels/educates patient on their medications e.g. to correct dosing schedule and duplicate therapy.
- Responds to evaluative and/or non-evaluative drug information requests.
- Assures compliance of prescribers with clinical practice guidelines and other drug policies or third-party prescription benefit management procedures minimizes non-formulary drug use eliminates therapeutic duplication. As a Social Worker at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working to help patients living with kidney disease achieve maximum social functioning and psychological adjustment to dialysis treatment and rehabilitation.
What you will be doingAdvocate & Support. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team working to ensure patients receive the best care, including conducting all required patient assessment and care planning activities such as assessing new patient psychosocial needs and completing the KDQOL in accordance with company policy and all state/CMS regulations. You will identify and counsel psychosocial issues and provide patient and family education. THE WORK
As a Software Engineer you will:
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
• Candidate must possess active security clearance with a polygraph.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $86,100 - $151,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
