OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery for our client in Wisconsin!

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for clinic, call, and surgical needs alongside two neurosurgeons
• Manage 10?12 clinic patients per day
• Perform surgical first assist in neurosurgical cases
• Conduct bedside procedures
• Round independently in NICU, PICU, pediatrics, ICU, and general med/surg floors
• Handle hospital and ER/urgent care consults
• Perform outpatient consultations, post-operative and post-hospital patient care, and fracture care
• Manage patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation

Qualifications:

• Recent neurosurgery experience, including surgical cases
• Ability to work independently in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Proficiency in handling complex neurosurgical procedures

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. clinic
• Additional 12-hour shifts available
• Call coverage on a 1:3 rotation for weekdays and weekends with 20-minute beeper response time

Skills:

• Surgical procedures including craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries
• Independent rounding in various hospital units
• Strong patient communication and follow-up skills
• Proficiency in both clinical and surgical environments

All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $130.00 - $150.00 per hour
