Job Summary
Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures, calculation, diagnostic, therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and adjunctive medications using a variety of equipment and strictly adhering to relevant safety standards. Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations through the application of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining strict attention to patient care in accordance with department policy and procedure. Carry out hot lab duties and perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies on inpatients and outpatients in all age groups from neonate to geriatric. Have an understanding of nuclear regulatory commission (NRC) rules and regulations, practice radiation safety, safely operate all cameras and equipment in the department, process and send data to required destinations via computer. Understands the theories and principles behind the equipment and tests performed in the nuclear medicine department.
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutically dosages under the direction of a physician. Employs radiation-detecting equipment to perform patient imaging procedures; describes procedures to patients and answers questions. Implements radiation safety standards and quality assurance into daily work and monitors a patient's condition during the course of an imaging procedure. Collects patient information, analyzes data and provides quality images for a physician to diagnose a patient.
Dependent on needs of facility and department may also be responsible and cross-trained in performing positron emission tomography computed tomography (PETCT) scans with thorough understanding of all processes related to PETCT. Job Summary
Performs daily imaging and delivers daily prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to radiation therapy patients safely and accurately. The therapist incorporates their technical knowledge of the equipment and expertise of clinical treatment set-up, anatomical landmarks, treatment recording and management during patient care. The therapist must be able to interact effectively and accurately with patients and their family members, physicians, healthcare workers, and radiation oncology department personnel. Job Summary
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.
Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Join a great team providing outpatient anticoagulation services to the Bemidji region. This is a Monday through Friday position with no holidays or weekends. The pharmacist will primarily be responsible for staffing the anticoagulation clinic and will work closely with a team of five nurses and an ambulatory care pharmacist. As our ambulatory care program continues to expand, this role will have opportunities to provide additional ambulatory care pharmacist services.
Job Summary
Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services for the outpatient Anticoagulation Clinic (AC). Works collaboratively with pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical staff, and other pertinent healthcare providers to assess medication use systems, identify opportunities to improve anticoagulation use safety, and institute practice changes, as necessary. Consistently demonstrates leadership and assumes ownership for the implementation of an efficient and effective outpatient AC. Provide management of AC patients by providing follow up monitoring and necessary interventions to ensure enhanced safety and effective outcomes associated with the outpatient AC. Provides pharmaceutical care by following established standards and practices consistent with Sanford policy, regulating bodies (TJC, CMS, etc.) and professional practice standards as well as state and federal law. Work closely in collaboration with the AC nurses to deliver safe and effective care. Visible and readily accessible to the clinical staff in the various medical staff and other clinical departments.
Must understand the role of systematic practices in leading to safe and effective patient care and have the ability to implement these practices in multiple settings. Possesses the ability to cooperate at all levels, both inside and outside of the AC. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, asthma exercise testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, cardiopulmonary stress testing, home oxygen evaluations, six minute walk tests, arterial blood gases and other tests that a doctor orders. In addition to testing patients, the PFL Respiratory Therapist may be asked to administer respiratory therapies and educate patients on the use of their medications and equipment. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.
Secondary Responsibilities
PFL Respiratory Therapists spend most of their time performing noncritical testing. However, they must be prepared to respond during an emergency, such as by performing CPR. They may be asked to cross train in Pulmonary Rehab, be a student preceptor, help during new-employee orientation, prepare the next dayβs schedule and insure orders are in the patientβs EMR.
Qualifications
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must complete orientations, competency validations, and other in-servicing as required by the department and hospital.
Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
