Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead and support automation and controls systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting PLC- and HMI-based systems while partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial control systems
• Lead controls efforts for new equipment, upgrades, and capital projects
• Support commissioning and startup of automated manufacturing systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation issues
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and standards
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT teams on system integration
• Mentor junior controls engineers and technicians
• Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and manufacturing standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of controls/automation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, motion control, and industrial networks
• Proven experience leading automation projects from concept through commissioning
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under production pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotics, vision systems, or SCADA
• Knowledge of safety PLCs and machine safety standards
• Prior experience mentoring or leading technical teams

The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will operate and tend sewing machines to perform sewing operations on various materials. This includes joining, reinforcing, and finishing various parts and materials. This person will receive job specific training and ultimately be required to join a variety of large format materials. Sound hand-eye coordination and the ability to cope with moderate physical effort will be necessary. Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn is necessary.

Essential Functions:

• Perform various sewing operations, including joining, reinforcing and finishing on a variety of different types of materials.
• Visually inspect subassemblies and finished goods per quality standards.
• Layout and cut materials using patterns, scissors, and/or cutting equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions provided verbally, in writing, or in diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Strong math and measurement skills with the ability to read fractions.
• Report issues or concerns to leadership, as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 6 months of experience in industrial sewing.
• Basic knowledge of industrial stitching equipment such as walking foot and double needle machines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• U. S. citizen.
• Strong desire to learn.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
