Performs a variety of direct patient care procedures to assist the unit manager, professional staff and physicians in providing patient care focused on the needs of the patient.
GENERAL PATIENT CARE - Meets the comfort and hygiene needs of the patient.
TECHNICAL CARE - Assists with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, sets up and primes IV tubing, 12-lead ECG, simple tracheostomy suctioning and care, changes dressings, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation, obtains wound and throat cultures.
EQUIPMENT - Assists physician and professional staff in equipment supply and set up.
TRANSPORT - Assists with ambulating patients with assistive devices such as crutches and with transfer/transport procedures.
COMMUNICATION - Performs required documentation and communicates in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, employee and department information to ensure patient rights.
QUALITY IMPROVEMENT - Utilizes time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.

Minimum Education:

- Performs and demonstrates competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
- Recognizing, identifying and appropriately documenting normal anatomy, abnormalities, disease, pathology and pathophysiology for accurate medical diagnosis.
- Performing all types of ultrasound procedures and services, in accordance with department protocol, to ensure appropriate patient care for patients in all age categories (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
- Completing ultrasonic scans within given procedure time parameters when performing ultrasonic scans so as to expedite patient care.

- Assess, interpret, plan, monitor, and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using evidence-based standards of care, policies and practice guidelines. What You’ll Do
- Deliver physical therapy services based on a personalized care plan
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic devices and techniques
- Monitor progress and communicate with the care team
- Promote safety, independence, and dignity in every interaction
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed to practice in Illinois.
- Home healthcare experience and knowledge of participation conditions preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
