Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Details:
- Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
- Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
- Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
- Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
- On-call is required during select non-business hours
What you will do in this role:
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery
- Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
- Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
- Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
- Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
- Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly
- Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree

PRIMARY TASKS & DUTIES

Assess health status of all ages by performing health history, physical exam, and diagnostic testing
Develop and implement plans for providing treatment of illness, performing routine checkups, immunizations, and preventive screenings to help prevent diseases.
Recommend changes in all clinical areas, and/or in general areas to improve the patient flow, medical records, billing practices, and appointment practices
Collect, record and maintain accurate and detailed medical records in a timely manner using our electronic medical records.
Assists the Medical Director in the development and updating of medical and other policies, guidelines, and medical orders used in the delivery of health care to patients
Night and weekend call to be shared among clinicians. A nurse phone triage system is in place to screen calls
Promotes and believes in the GHC mission statement
Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religion, and economic status
Refers to patients requiring hospitalization or assessment and management of conditions to supervising physicians or appropriate specialists. Follows patient's progress with physician
Consults with physicians and other members of the health care team as necessary
Supervise support staff to including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Performs other necessary duties as required by the community health center to meet the goal of providing primary health care services

Position Overview
- Location: Florence, SC
- Setting: Hospital
- Coverage Type: Monday 7a - Monday 7a every other week
- Onsite at 7a until 5p then on call from then until following morning during the week. Sat and Sun will be 24 hour call only
- Practice Model: On-Site Interventional Radiology
- Perform cases as needed, respond to callback cases while on call, answer consults, round on patients they are responsible for/have operated on, half day of clinic
- 1 APP who works 7on/7off so there may be some overlap with locum and current APP
- We have a full time Navigator, and Stroke Coordinator who is a nurse that can help Mon-Fri
- Must be comfortable working independently, as there is only 1 NIR Physician on at a time
- EMR: EPIC
- We have Rapid AI for convenience
- We also have a Semans system biplane room
- Specific procedures: Primary - Thrombectomies for stroke cases and coiling for cerebral aneurysms
- Adults only - Pediatrics would be shipped out
- Avg volume - 100-125 stroke alerts at Mcleod a month, 25 Angiograms, 8-15 Interventions, and 5-10 Embolization per month. Anticipate volumes will increase sharply
This is an on-site role — not teleradiology — designed for physicians who prefer hands-on procedural practice in a hospital environment.

Our history Talkiatry was founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing care. Together, they set out to reimagine outpatient psychiatry by building a model that supports both patients and clinicians, while expanding access to mental healthcare.

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice built to combine the stability of a hospital practice with the clinical autonomy of private practice.
This role is designed for psychiatrists who want:
- Predictable, W-2 compensation and benefits
- Flexible scheduling, control over their schedule, session structure, and patient population
- Minimal administrative burden in a fully remote, outpatient model
- 100% remote, outpatient psychiatry
- Lower to moderate acuity populations (ex. anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD)
- Patient population across the lifespan: children & adolescents (treated by board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists only), adults, and geriatric patients
- Standard session lengths (60-minute intakes, 30-minute follow ups)
- No inpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization care or crisis coverage
- In-house referral network to therapists
- Full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing
- Control over schedule and weekly availability
- Session length within established clinical standards
- Patient population, balanced to individual criteria and preferences
- Clinical decision-making without pressure to shorten visits or increase volume
