The Human Systems Integration team is seeking a Human Factors Engineer (HFE) to join the E-2D Hawkeye team. In this position, the new team member will be part of the team ensuring the evolving aircraft hardware and software systems are operable by US military flight and maintenance crews. This position requires a strong background in Systems Engineering. Job responsibilities include requirements development; design documentation including interface specifications; software interface design/development support; analyses and collaboration to facilitate equipment selection, design and arrangement; collaboration and working groups; compliance with specified sections of MIL-STD-1472; collaboration across IPTs; and coordination with the customer and user community.
Typical Duties:
• Author/support the program documentation of the HFE processes and products in a format consistent with Department of Defense (DoD) Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) for example, Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, et al.
• Author/support the development of requirements that are compliant with Human Factors best practices and specified sections of MIL-STD-1472G
• Human Factors Analyses (including but not limited to: Task Analyses and Predictive Workload Analyses
• Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering methodologies
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Prepare, coordinate and conduct both predictive and empirical workload analyses as well as usability assessments.
• Collaboration with Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure evolving design addresses program needs and adheres to Human Interface design requirements
• Support / Lead Highly Immersive Virtual Environment (HIVE) motion-capture human modeling analyses
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of science degree and 12 years of experience in a Human Factors related field; or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience in a related field; or a PhD and 8 years of experience in a related field.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; interim secret clearance is required to start.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Must have experience constructing, conducting, analyzing and reporting Usability, Workload and Situation Awareness Evaluations specific to military aircraft systems and associated operational environments
• Must have experience interpreting, applying, and tailoring MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-411, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, and MIL-STD-46855 in support of aircraft design activity.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Overview
The Building Engineer reports to the Lead Engineer and maintains a working relationship with and takes direction from all Property Managers in his/her area for issues affecting their properties. Issues may range from tenant improvement work to preventive maintenance and repair of all building systems. This must be done in a manner that not only protects, but also maximizes the value of the property. The Building Engineer must exhibit outstanding client service and professionalism in all interactions with tenants and RMR staff. Teamwork and collaboration are critical to this position's success. The portfolio currently consists of a large single tenant office building and a small mixed-use office building.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of their supervisor.
- Complete tenant service requests, and develop and maintain positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, as directed by their supervisor. Duties include, but are not limited to changing filters, coil cleaning, greasing motors, replacing light bulbs & ballasts, inspecting/adjusting belts, and regular inspections of equipment
- Maintain computerized or manual equipment logs that detail preventive work performed.
- Clean and paint equipment and surrounding areas relating to equipment and equipment rooms.
- Assist in ordering stock and inventory of parts and supplies, as needed.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Review elevator maintenance records and confirm elevator maintenance is performed per national agreement. Inspect condition of elevator machine rooms. Report any elevator deficiencies to their supervisor.
- Assist with review of tenant improvement plans. Inspect active construction areas and confirm contractors are following all building rules and regulations.Coordinate fire alarm and sprinkler shutdown and drain downs with contractors as needed.
- Coordinate all quarterly fire alarm testing and maintenance with building vendor.
- Maintain and operate life safety/fire systems
- Perform carpentry and snow removal, if necessary.
- Take meter readings on all meters and equipment as directed by their supervisor.
- Perform minor repairs on doors, hardware, lock, windows, ceilings, and floors
- Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
- Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
- Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and report to management
- Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives, as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
- Daily communication with property management, engineering staff, security, tenants and contractors/vendors is vital.
General Maintenance and Operation Duties:
- Understand OSHA guidelines and how to ensure that all equipment is maintained to guidelines/standards.
- Read and follow written and oral instructions.
- Convey thoughts and recommendations orally and/or in writing to supervisors, contractors and others in order to resolve building-related problems.
- Operate and use necessary manual and power-driven tools.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of building maintenance experience or commensurate experience in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
- HVAC or electrical technical school training preferred.
- Applicable military experience or other related operations experience will be considered including power plants, multi-family, hotels, hospitals, facilities, etc.
- Experience with automated building management systems
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical blueprints and schematics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage own time on a daily basis with little supervision

We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal structures, frame design, pipes and fabrication to support the development of power and cooling infrastructure for data centers. This role is critical in designing robust mechanical systems that house and support electrical and thermal management equipment, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
What will you do?
- Experience designing and integrating hydronic systems including pumps, piping networks, valves, and heat exchangers for data center cooling applications.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for chilled water and glycol-based systems.
- Understanding of installation constraints, maintenance access, and serviceability in large-scale mechanical infrastructure.
- Design and develop mechanical frames, enclosures, and support structures for data center power and cooling products (UPS systems, battery racks, CRAC units, containment systems, LVS, MVS).
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FEA tools to validate mechanical integrity under static, dynamic, seismic, and thermal loads.
- Analyze load paths, stress concentrations, and fatigue life of structural components to ensure long-term reliability.

- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes including welding, sheet metal forming, and machining is a must

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supports the Test Engineer in the development and commission of test solutions executing the test qualification of the fixture and program as per the specific system qualification process.
· Responsibility for providing the deliverables to support the solution in production to both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
· Assists in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures and environmental tooling as required to meet the customer expectations.
