POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Performs successful recruiting, matching and placement of applicants to departmental vacancies so that qualified individuals and professionals are selected as University Health System employees.
Represents UH at designated recruiting functions.
Develop sources of qualified health care professionals.
Performs screening of candidates to ensure that all qualified prospective employees are referred for consideration to department supervisors for final approval.
Assists the Director of Recruitment and Employee Services in carrying out staff functions, projects, and event coordination.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Nursing is required.
Four or more years of recruitment experience is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of employee interview techniques and applicable regulations is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required.

Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Provides direct patient care (dialysis) and monitoring of renal dialysis patients. Oversees direct patient care of the ESRD patient on dialysis. Supports and adheres to University Health and department specific policies and standards. Mentors and serves as a clinical role model for all staff. Receives mentoring from Nurse Staff III and the Director of Dialysis Services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
BSN is highly preferred. Must meet career ladder Staff Nurse II criteria for worked area. Two years or more of nursing experience required. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the state of Texas is required. National certification in Dialysis is encouraged.

Responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients by completing medical histories, conducting physicals, establishing diagnosis through tests, and formulating treatment plans. Provides follow-up and health maintenance care of patients in accordance with protocols approved by a physician.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Successful Completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee's predecessor or successor entities is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended. Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff and UMA bylaws. Providers practicing in acute care environment must obtain AHA ACLS certification or advanced specialty equivalent as defined by the UMA Credentials Committee within 90 days of hire. Prescriptive authority is required. Valid DEA number must be obtained within 90-days of hire.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides skilled direct patient care (dialysis) and monitoring of renal dialysis patients. Operates all renal dialysis equipment and recognizes changes in the renal patient's condition while on dialysis. Administers medications and accesses hemodialysis catheters for the patient care techs as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Two years' experience in health care delivery as an LVN is required. Two years' recent experience of dialysis is preferred.
LICENSURE
Current LVN licensure in the State of Texas is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card. Must maintain current CPR certification.

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator leads the evaluation of research protocols and provides clinical and risk assessment expertise on research-related procedures. Assists Director in implementation of human subject research protection program. Reviews complex human subject research protocols and supports the Clinical Research Department through coordination, monitoring, and education of processes required for Research Proposals within University Health. Represents the department at multi-institutional committees and meetings, such as IRB and OHRP.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. May substitute 8 years of related experience and licensure for required education. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three years Research experience required. Possesses or qualifies to obtain within 6 months of employment a Clinical Research Certification (i.e. CCRP or CCRA). Has a working knowledge of research methods and knowledge of federal legislation regarding human subject research is required. Expertise in applying for research protocols, budgeting, program planning and evaluation is preferred. Exercises mature judgment and discretion in any confidential or sensitive matters.
Serves as a clinical expert, educator, and mentor for the Palo Alto Hospital. Functions in a team environment to provide support to clinical practice.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor of Nursing degree is required. A national certification is required. Minimum of two years of full-time Registered Nurse experience required, five years of experience is preferred. Demonstration of experience in curriculum development and implementation of adult learning principles is required.
LICENSURE
State of Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card is required.
