Job Summary 

As a CT Technologist you would operate CT equipment, to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient to capture optimal images requested by the physician.

  • You will accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ARRT-CT certification preferred.
  • CT experience preferred.

Pre- and post- procedure care for a variety of patients, including but not limited to: cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and interventional), peripheral angiograms (diagnostic and interventional), dialysis access procedures and line placements, TEEs, cardioversions, loop recorder implantations, electrophysiology studies and procedures, pacemaker and ICD placements.

Coordinating with local offices and hospitals to schedule procedures and obtain appropriate patient information

Prepare charts for the following day

Call patients the day before scheduled procedures to provide instructions

Coordinate internally with hospital staff and departments including hospital units, anesthesia, and Diagnostics to optimize patient care and workflow (including bed placement and scheduling of procedures
