The Site Medical Director will provide comprehensive leadership for the hospital medicine department while maintaining clinical responsibilities. The clinician must demonstrate basic leadership experience and will work closely with scheduling teams to manage physician coverage and address open shifts. Responsibilities include addressing performance issues and conflict resolution among healthcare providers, participating in the interview and recruitment process for full-time hospitalist positions, and partnering with facility leadership including the Chief Medical Officer. The position requires meeting budget objectives and maintaining quality standards including length of stay optimization, patient satisfaction metrics, and physician retention targets.
