Job Summary

Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
  • Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of post-residency clinical experience required
  • Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting preferred
  • Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • National Certification
  • Active state medical licensure (MD/DE can be obtained)

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
  • Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.

Administer garnishments and other special payroll deductions.

Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.

Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and ensure all payroll tax filings are accurate and timely.

Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure accurate employee benefits data.

Use ADP and ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing, reporting, and record-keeping.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.

Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.

Participate in audits and special projects as needed.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

Strong knowledge of garnishments, multi-state payroll, and state taxes.

Proficiency in ADP and ADP Workforce Now.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

High degree of professionalism.

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
