Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

Responsibilities:
Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.

Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted.

Scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.

Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Job Summary and Qualifications

​​The Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role requires specialized clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the unique needs of pediatric cardiac patients. The RN collaborates closely with pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the broader perioperative team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the surgical continuum. 

​Utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage,” the RN provides individualized care that supports optimal surgical outcomes. The RN advocates for the safety and well-being of patients and their families, ensuring that care is developmentally appropriate and emotionally supportive. This role also upholds the organization’s mission, vision, and values by fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the pediatric CVOR environment.​ 

Position Details: 

• Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule 
• Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff 
• Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room 
• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement 
• On-call is required during select non-business hours 

What you will do in this role: 

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery 
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification 
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy 
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies 
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives 
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more 
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly 
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days

• You will be responsible for, oversees and directs the care of the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures. 
• As an Endoscopy RN, you will require specialized skills and you will serve specific age groups, which may include adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations. 
• You will assist in sedation with pulmonary patients/procedures.

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Vascular Access Team (VAT) RN applies advanced knowledge of the vascular system, vascular access devices (VADs), and VAD insertion techniques to establish intravenous access for pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities:

The VAT RN critically assesses each patient’s medical history, present health status, and proposed course of treatment to ensure the appropriate VAD is selected. When selection questions arise, the VAT RN works collaboratively with ordering providers to clarify vascular access needs. Prior to VAD placement, the VAT RN performs a physical examination of the insertion site. The VAT RN utilizes expert-level vascular ultrasound/sonography skills and aseptic or sterile techniques to insert VADs at the bedside or in procedural areas. During insertion of advanced lines such as peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), the VAT RN monitors the patient’s electrocardiograph readings for signs of device malposition or procedure intolerance. As applicable following device placement, the VAT RN selects the appropriate method of imaging to verify tip placement, interprets imaging results in compliance with the VAT RN scope of practice, and issues nursing orders for line use. The VAT RN also provides consultation services for malfunctioning VADs, as well as VAD use and maintenance education to staff and patients.

All insertion and troubleshooting activities are documented by the VAT RN per the organization’s policies and procedures. The VAT RN also enters charges in the hospital’s documentation system to ensure appropriate billing of devices and VAT procedures.

The VAT RN is responsible for VAD-related core measures affecting quality, patient safety, and reimbursement, including Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSIs). In the event a CLABSI develops following VAD insertion by the VAT, the VAT RN collaborates with Infection Prevention for event analysis and corrective actions.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse and BLS – Healthcare provider certification are required. ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Experience: Two years bedside clinical RN experience is required. Two years VAT RN experience
• Special Qualifications: Must demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Cardiovascular Center (CVC) RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the patient requiring telemetry and/or medical surgical care. The CVC RN serves as primary nurse and collaborates with all disciplines for well-coordinated care of the patient. The CVC RN oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. The Cardiovascular Center is a unit dedicated to caring for pre, post, and intraprocedural patients requiring sedation. Our small team is a committed and caring group of colleagues, dedicated to seeing our patients safely through their procedures. A. As a CVC RN you will serve as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care prior to, during, and following procedural sedation. You will be responsible for obtaining patient history and current medications, ensuring nursing assessment is completed and standard of care initiated. You will obtain and/or coordinate pre-procedural diagnostic testing (EKGs, Labs, IV starts), and analyze pertinent data, communicate findings, and document information accurately. You will initiate and document post-procedure instruction and discharge teaching, involving patient and family/significant other. The responsibility of the CVC RN patient population before and after diagnostic/interventional cardiac catheterizations (cardiac, vascular and electrophysiology procedures) and interventional radiology procedures (line placement, TIPS, biopsies), as well as transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), anesthesia/RN assisted cardioversions and bone marrow biopsies. You will be responsible for utilizing a self-scheduling model, scheduling yourself for three 12-hour day shifts/week, M-F. No holidays or call required.

II. Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license; BLS – Healthcare provider. ACLS required upon hire.

B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

C. Experience: Minimum of one-year previous experience in acute care preferred.

D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
