The candidate will enable the Mission Systems organization to continue to expand its business base and will participate in advancing fighter aircraft technology by leading an Integration, Analysis and System Test Engineering team. The team is responsible for developing system/subsystem requirements, participating with Software engineers with real-time Operational Flight Program (OFP) development, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in Flight Test. Simulation and modeling is utilized to assist in requirements development, software development and offsets some Flight Test verification.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the team delivers safe and high-quality program products within cost and schedule
• Coordination with program management, suppliers, customers and other Boeing teams
• Provide technical, programmatic and process leadership to team members
• Monitor team and supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and compliance with requirements
• Support production with issue resolution for delivered hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
• Perform managerial HR functions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
• 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters or PhD
• 7+ years of technical engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience in the Mission Systems field on military aircraft
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing teams and/or projects

As a Digital Engineer – Full Stack & Systems Architecture, you will sit at the intersection of engineering workflows, software systems, and cloud platforms. This is not a traditional backend or data‐engineering role. We are seeking Systems Engineers with Demonstrated ability to apply systems engineering principles in modern software environments, with strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD practices, and cloud-native architectures. Candidates should be comfortable working across disciplines to integrate hardware, software, and mission systems in secure environments, collaborating closely with developers and test engineers to validate end-to-end functionality. The 777X program is transitioning to full rate production and is focused on improving the design of wing components to enhance producibility.

As a Structural & Payload Design Engineer, you will develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design. You will create and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and other design methods, providing product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal structures, frame design, pipes and fabrication to support the development of power and cooling infrastructure for data centers. This role is critical in designing robust mechanical systems that house and support electrical and thermal management equipment, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.

What will you do?

• Experience designing and integrating hydronic systems including pumps, piping networks, valves, and heat exchangers for data center cooling applications.

• Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for chilled water and glycol-based systems.

• Develop and maintain design documentation including BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs).

• Drive continuous improvement in mechanical design for manufacturability (DFM), cost reduction, and performance optimization.

• Interface with suppliers and customers to resolve fabrication issues and ensure quality standards are met.

• Support lifecycle management of mechanical components, including obsolescence planning and alternate sourcing.

• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical failures or field issues.

• Ensure mechanical designs support airflow management, thermal containment, and integration with cooling systems (in-row cooling, rear door heat exchangers).

• Collaborate with compliance and certification teams to ensure mechanical designs meet global regulatory requirements (UL, CE, RoHS, REACH)

• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

How will you get here? 

Education :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Experience :

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and fabrication, preferably in data center, industrial, or power systems environment.

• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor) and FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus).

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes including welding, sheet metal forming, and machining is a must

• Experience with structural design for heavy equipment or large assemblies, and familiarity with thermal and airflow considerations in enclosure design is required

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience designing mechanical systems for data centers, telecom, or industrial power/cooling products.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards applicable to data center infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication and testing; Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers a plus
