About the Role
Assists residents with the Medicaid application process. Primary responsibility for Medicaid, Medicaid pending, Medicaid ineligible, and Self-Pay accounts. Performs daily banking procedures on resident/patient accounts and personal fund accounts.
Responsibilities
- Attend family meetings as necessary to assist with completion of financial paperwork and to discuss financial obligations; collecting required pre-payments.
- Reviews SNF admission applications to provide financial clearance.
- Medicaid Expeditor; responsible for facilitating completion of both new Medicaid applications and re-determinations for Medicaid.
- Monitors payer status for all pending and/or ineligible residents.
- Issues 30-day notices of noncompliance when residents do not meet financial or application requirements.
- Requests petition of conservatorship as necessary.
- Review AR accounts for legal and collection agency turnover.
- Serve as the liaison between Finance and our internal customers for patient and resident account issues.
- Work with Administrator, Finance and Billing Manager to review opportunities to improve/increase revenue or efficiency opportunities.
- Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents/patients recognizing their age, needs and abilities.
- Assure prompt resolution to questions or issues presented by resident/patients and other family members.
- Responsible for census management payer changes and accuracy.
- Oversight of Resident Trust for the facility.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager, Healthcare Services Billing.
Qualifications
- Education: An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered if related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
- Experience: Seven to ten years of experience directly related to skilled nursing healthcare revenue cycle activities.

What You Will Do:
Our Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT facility has several exciting opportunities for a Production Machinist available on 3rd shift.
3rd shift hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
In this role, you will setup and operate one machine tool or process equipment type and operate more than one unrelated machine tool or process equipment types within an assigned area to produce precision turbine engine parts. You will perform work where methods, procedures and processes are well developed and the required tooling, gaging and fixturing are provided.
Under the direction of leader/supervisor, work from verbal and written instructions, operation sheets, drawings and other pertinent information. Following established methods and procedures, use manual or numerically controlled machine tools such as milling, boring, grinding, turning, broaching and shaping machines to achieve the required dimensional specifications. Recognize indications of dull or damaged cutting tools and replace as needed.
Perform bench, assembly and surface finishing operations such as deburring, blending, trimming and fitting, using a variety of hand and power tools. Follow prescribed methods and procedures to perform drilling, riveting and bonding operations to assemble various details in producing a finished part. Operate part-marking equipment.
Use a variety of media, dry or liquid, to perform cleaning or part preparation and finishing operations. Operate tumbling, grit blast, shot peen, buffing and polishing equipment, wash machines and dip tanks for part surface conditioning. Apply masking as required. Perform applications of anti-gall and polymite coatings utilizing dry bake ovens to cure.
Utilize a variety of fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and part features. Operate OpCert and other computerโbased systems to retrieve and store information and records.
Perform routine servicing throughout assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions, such as operatorsโ checklist, for upkeep and to assure equipment operates properly.
May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6 months of machining experience

What You Will Do:
- Perform repetitive tasks related to preventative maintenance, supply and servicing of facilities, machinery and equipment.
- Assist trade groups as required.
- Under the direction of supervisor or project leader, work from specified methods and procedures, exercise care and use judgment for routine tasks associated with machine and equipment servicing and assist trades groups on projects.
- Assist others in system operation, care, use and preventative maintenance techniques where a limited knowledge of specialized trade terminology is required to understand instructions.

What You Will Do:
Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established. Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned.
Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components.
Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within limits specified.
Use mechanicโs hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.
Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.
Perform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or Equivalent & formal training in a specialized field achieving A&P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic preferred.

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. This role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies (single-phase and two-phase), hydronic system design, structural integration, and manufacturable rack-level infrastructure solutions.
This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
- Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.
- Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.
- Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.

Job Summary
Builds relationships with Financial Advisors and internal partners. Develops the skills necessary to successfully underwrite Life, Disability, and/or Long-term Care insurance policies in an inclusive and fast-paced environment ensuring all quality, service and production goals are met.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Field & Client Experience
โResponsible for credible and effective relations and communication with field and customer to include responding to case appeals/inquiries and assists with placing business.
Provides guidance and assistance to the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Financial Representatives regarding case underwriting and risk appraisal
Responsible for prescreen inquiries.
Underwriting
Responsible for the analysis and appraisal of a broad range of insurance applications; approves, classifies, or declines applications for various ages and policy amounts with guidance, as needed.โ
Independently reviews applications and adheres to underwriting standards and demonstrates an intermediate level of experience with NM product types and changes. โ
Develops and demonstrates change agility while maintaining mortality and morbidity expectations. โ
Demonstrates continuous learning through the early adoption of new ways of underwriting. โ
Develops proficiency with Reinsurance programs and determining where to best place a case.
Underwrites applications, maintaining industry-leading mortality and morbidity giving the best possible offer that can be made. Provides active case and requirement management and provides customized service with guidance. โ
Communicates & negotiates with Field Partners to explain modified or declined decisions & assist in policy placement. โ
Develops proficiency in financial, medical, and lay underwriting assessments and provides innovations solutions to keep Northwestern Mutual as the choice of our customers.
Actively utilizes the most effective means to obtain the necessary information, including digital health data, Internet searches, direct contact with the insured, and communication with third party advisors (Accountants, Attorneys, etc.) with limited guidance.
Discusses cases with peer reviewers with medical and technical staff, as needed. โ
Understands and meets all quality, service, and production goalsโ.
Solves issues & escalations, with guidance as needed. โ
Partners with Underwriting Support for case management
Cross-functional leadership
May serve as underwriting representative for improvement in product process w/collaboration w/functional partners. โParticipates in other projects as needed.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
1.5 years of traditional underwriting experience.
Analytical skills with the ability to make independent decisions and apply sound judgment in the application of rules.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information, and exercise tact, diplomacy, and resourcefulness.
Proficient in computer skills and using various software packages.
Ability to work accurately while maintaining speed and flexibility in a team and independent production environment.
Highly organized with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
Displays agility to manage multiple tasksโ and adapt in a changing work environment.
