Position Summary
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services to support operations across all departments. You will manage supplier relatiosnhips, negotiate pricing and terms, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Your ability to communicate effectively and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source requested items, reduce costs, and negotiate payment terms.
- Manage supplier’s expectations through open and consistent communication.
- Develop new supplier sources who meet company requirements as necessary.
- Vetting of new suppliers – Perform onsite audit(s).
- Place orders for materials, equipment parts & MRO supplies for all departments throughout the company.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure correct part number revisions are ordered.
- Ensure that ordered items are delivered on time.
- Ensure delivery quantities and schedules satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products.
- Reconciliation of payable discrepancies, shipping issues and other customer problems
- Arrange emergency shipments and expedited deliveries on behalf of internal customers.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.
