The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time Greeter to join our team at The Sports Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. The Sports Museum is located in TD Garden, and you will provide backstage arena tours for guests. In this role, you'll be a storyteller for our guests at the Museum, speaking about Boston history and sports.

What will you do?

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide assistance where needed.
• Lead guided tours of The Sports Museum and parts of TD Garden.
• Assist in the daily operations of The Sports Museum including cleanliness of the facility.
• Manage daily guest attendance records.
• All other duties assigned.

More about you

• Customer service experience required.
• Associates must be able to provide their own transportation and parking costs to/from work.
• Weekday availability from 10 am - 5 pm is preferred, noting the Museum is open Monday - Sunday. Occasional hours may be required for special events, preparation for exhibit openings, etc.
• Public speaking experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Boston history and Boston sports is preferred.
• Must be available to work on weekends.
• Bilingual/Multilingual is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manager Notes:
• DIL: bio to support next-gen sequencing group. Some are in the lab, some are writing codes and analytical pipelines, working with Client coding and development systems, collaborating with the lab team, lots of coding, working with quality teams to ensure meeting metrics.
• Should have experience with at least one or two of the following. e.g., FastQC, Bowtie2, SAMtools, NCBI BLAST+, Nextflow, etc.). NGS pipeline development.
• 9-5 some wiggle room if they need to come in earlier leave earlier, Onsite but if they need a day or two here and there they can request a day to work remote A strong candidate would have Coding experience, papers published on coding, need next gen sequencing analysis, gene therapy group so if they have some exp in that or bio that would be a great advantage.
• Relevant experience is more important than a degree for the role.
• Does not want to see anyone with zero coding experience. No mention of the tools list would be a hard pass.
• Support computational needs for the development and validation of NGS-based assays.
• Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to implement genomic analytical solutions for programs spanning precandidate selection through late phase clinical development.
• Develop, execute, and maintain NGS analysis pipelines for execution in cloud-based computational environments.
• Keep records of development work and testing in a GxP environment utilizing electronic notebook solutions.
• Represent the group at internal meetings.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills;Should have experience with at least one or two of the following. e.g., FastQC, Bowtie2, SAMtools, NCBI BLAST+, Nextflow, etc.)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with NGS, spanning knowledge and hands-on dry-lab experience.
• Scripting experience in coding languages (e.g., bash, awk, Python, R, etc.).
• A strong candidate would have Coding experience, papers published on coding, need next-gen sequencing analysis, and gene therapy.
• Degree in a relevant computer science discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with NGS, spanning knowledge and hands-on dry-lab experience.
• Expertise in bioinformatics with a working understanding of genomic analysis solutions (e.g., FastQC, Bowtie2, SAMtools, NCBI BLAST+, Nextflow, etc.).
• Scripting experience in coding languages (e.g., bash, awk, Python, R, etc.).
• Understanding of NGS platforms, specifically those utilizing the synthesis by sequencing technique (i.e., Illumina platforms).
• Ability to work independently and adapt under aggressive and/or changing timelines.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (e.g., Git).
• Automated unit testing for test-driven design (TDD).
• Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., ligation, PCR, and qPCR) as well as nucleic acid extraction and analysis techniques (e.g., Nanodrop, DNA fragment analyzers, ddPCR, etc.).
• Knowledge of and experience with other sequencing platforms (i.e., SMRT sequencing).
• Prior experience in leading the internalization of custom NGS analysis pipelines is highly preferred.
• Wet-lab method development experience to support NGS workflows.

Project Superintendent – Heavy Highway Construction

Massachusetts (multiple project sites)

$90,000 – $120,000 + bonus + benefits

A leading heavy civil contractor in the Northeast is looking to appoint a Project Superintendent to oversee highway and infrastructure construction projects across Massachusetts.

This is a field-based leadership role responsible for managing crews, subcontractors, and project delivery on complex roadway and paving projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The Role

As Project Superintendent, you will take ownership of the day-to-day site operations on heavy highway construction projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on active construction sites
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, traffic control requirements, etc.)
• Managing daily job progress, documentation, and reporting
• Monitoring productivity, costs, and project performance
• Coordinating materials, equipment, and workforce requirements
• Maintaining communication with project managers, clients, and internal teams
• Participating in project planning, estimating, and bid support
• Ensuring quality control standards and contractual obligations are met

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supervising heavy civil or highway construction projects
• Strong experience managing field crews and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications
• Knowledge of DOT construction standards and roadway projects
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules including night work when required

Preferred

• Experience working on state DOT highway projects
• Background in asphalt paving, roadway rehabilitation, or heavy civil construction
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar (preferred but not essential)
