We are a well-established and fast-paced Urgent & Family Care practice open 7 days a week dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community. Our clinic offers walk-in urgent care services as well as scheduled family medicine visits, serving a diverse patient population of all ages.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Locum Tenens Provider (NP or PA) to provide short-term coverage. The ideal candidate is flexible, competent in both urgent and primary care settings, and capable of working independently while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
Responsibilities:
Provide acute, episodic, and preventive care to patients of all ages
Manage common urgent care conditions (e.g., infections, minor injuries, lacerations, sprains)
Conduct routine health maintenance exams and manage chronic conditions
Perform basic office procedures (e.g., suturing, incision & drainage, splinting)
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and X-rays
Prescribe medications and document clinical encounters in the EMR
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality and efficient patient care
Refer patients to specialists or emergency care when appropriate
Schedule:
Mon?Fri, 8am?6pm, Sat & Sun 9am-5pm
Requirements:
Active and unrestricted AK medical license
DEA license and prescriptive authority in AK
Current BLS (ACLS preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in urgent care or family practice preferred
Proficiency with EMR systems( we use Experity)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
FMCSA CDL Medical Examiner Perferred
Compensation:
