Reporting to the Chief of SXU Police, University Police Officers preserve and protect life and property owned or governed by the University. - Perform vehicular and foot patrols of campus conducting routine surveillance of persons and surroundings.

Conduct thorough and detailed preliminary investigations of all reported incidents on campus by interviewing complainants, victims and/or witnesses at the scene of a crime or incident to gather relevant information.
