The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, is seeking an up to full-time Otorhinolaryngologist at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Division of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville is a tertiary referral center that serves the population of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. It is home to the divisions of General Surgery/Surgical Oncology, Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Trauma/Acute Care/Critical Care, and Vascular Surgery.
We are transforming the Division of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery to serve our growing community through multidisciplinary care and collaboration Subspecialty centers of clinical excellence in hearing, voice, olfaction, as well as head and neck surgery, facial plastic/reconstruction are focus areas and will be further developed to meet our vision of being the region’s most valued surgical health care asset. Additionally, the division will provide general otorhinolaryngology services. Already strong in adult otorhinolaryngologic care, we aim to develop our pediatric capabilities and allergy care. The division is actively growing in Northeast Florida with a focus on high quality academic medical care. In St. Johns County, a new hospital and outpatient facility is being built in the Durbin Park area and ENT services are planned for UF Health St. Johns – Flagler Hospital, a well-established community hospital in St. Augustine, FL. We are excited to offer this opportunity.
We are seeking a candidate with training and clinical experience in otorhinolaryngology. We are open to candidates with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Rhinology/skull base surgery, Laryngology or general otorhinolaryngology. Post graduate education or an interest in ENT allergy or sleep apnea surgery/sleep medicine is a plus. This position will report to the Division Chief of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Every faculty member in the department will have a mentoring team assigned to them and participate in the department wide faculty development program.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient specialty and/or sub-specialty care services in Otorhinolaryngology.
Provide clinical teaching of trainees if applicable and participate in the educational program.
Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians.
Assist in marketing the Otorhinolaryngology programs to community physicians and managed care organizations.
Participate in division and department meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.

About Baptist Medical Center Clay
Baptist Medical Center Clay is located on 32 acres at U.S. 17 and Village Square Parkway on Fleming Island. The facility opened in May 2013 to bring the high-quality care of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health to residents of Clay County.
