What you will do:
This position will sometimes be assigned in unit Secretary role and sometimes in Patient care tech role depending on unit needs.
- Orders special care equipment for the patient utilizing unit protocol and hospital computer information systems. Analyzes documents to ensure department specific requirements have been met prior to entering equipment orders or sending appropriate documents to HIM for scanning. Continually updates electronic medical information vital for patient care. When applicable ensures unit specific patient charges are entered into the appropriate information system.
- Triages physician and inter-department questions and resolves or refers to appropriate staff as needed. Performs customer service support utilizing the AIDET approach, answering telephones and may escort patients to treatment areas.
- Provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients with ADLs, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc.
- Obtains patient temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, saturation of peripheral oxygen reading, intake and output checks, BG checks (POC), and reports abnormalities to the appropriate individual. Performs procedures as directed by the RN such as thermal applications, perineal care, removal of IVs and Foley catheters, emptying of foley bags, application of restraints, backrubs, etc. Collects specimens such as urine, feces, sputum, and delivers as necessary.
- Documents basic patient care, supply and equipment orders (i.e. specimen collections, basic labs, diet orders, EKG?s) as directed per unit protocol, into the electronic medical record
- Transports medications, which are not controlled substances. May be authorized to access secured medication storage locations to perform job related functions.
- Assists nursing and clerical staff with admitting, discharging, transferring, ambulating and transporting patients as directed. Obtains confirmation of diagnostic or medical appointments.
- May perform duties of an Observation Assistant as needed.
- Provides administrative support including photocopying, electronic transmission of medical information to physicians, contacting physicians? offices, pharmacy, and coordination with other departments to facilitate patient care and record keeping. Monitors printers, facsimile machines, and tube stations and distributes information to team members as appropriate.
What you will need:
- Education: High school diploma required or 5 years? experience as a CNA/PCT with 3 years? minimum experience in an acute care setting.
- Certification: Completion of an Accredited Certified Nursing Assistance course with certification, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation required.
- Current CPR certification from American Heart Association.
- Data entry or order entry experience on a computer preferred.

What you will do:
- Performs routine tasks to assist the provider in patient care related activities. Cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms and stocks clinical supplies and equipment. Escorts patients to exam/treatment rooms. Practicing good customer relations, collects and documents patient data and history regarding nutrition, activity, mental state, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height and weight. Observes and responds to the general needs of patients. Reports the general physical and mental condition of the patient to the physician. - Performs selected clinical duties, reviews patient self-reported history and physical, vital signs, injections and immunizations, and assists in minor office procedures under the direction of the MD/APP/RN. Performs venipunctures and finger sticks; identifies correct patient before collecting specimen and labels specimens before leaving the patient. Performs Point of Care testing and supports lab draw site services according to CLIA and hospital policies. Logs and documents procedures performed according to hospital requirements. Completes EKG?s, suture removal, and dressing changes.
- Performs various clerical functions; answers telephones, relays and responds to patient messages with physician direction. Updates and processes patient medical records with all patient communication. Schedules appointments and documents patient referrals when needed. Coordinates patient care through the appropriate triaging of patient phone calls and call backs as assigned by the provider when applicable
- Manages patient contact and follow up as directed and by electronic medical record (EMR) tasks. Follows up on all overdue orders, verbal and written, as identified in the electronic record task box. Provides accurate documentation on patient compliance with follow up and notifies physician of all refusals for orders. Documents all interventions, results, patient / family interactions, and medications dispensed in the record.

Job Summary
The Patient Care Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on the assigned unit.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Patient & Visitor Interactions /Customer Service/Hourly Rounding: In this role, the PCT will interact with patients and visitors, answering patient call lights, answering phones, assisting visitors within the facility. Performs purposeful hourly rounding on all assigned patients.
Patient Safe Handling/Ambulation/Repositioning: In this role, the PCT will learn patient safe handling skills to allow the PCT to assist in the ambulation of patents and to be able to assist the nursing staff in the transferring, lifting and /or repositioning of patient utilizing Safe Patient Handling equipment.
Basic Nursing Care- ADLs: In this role, the PCT will provide basic care by assisting patients with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, oral care, eating, feeding, use of bedpan or urinal, positioning, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc. under the supervision of a RN/LPN. Follows policies and procedures related to patient and staff safety.
Admission/Discharge/Transfers: In this role, the PCT will assist with room set up, welcoming of new patients/ room orientation, discharging and/or transfer of patients. Provides patient/family orientation to room and hospital according to hospital practice. Transports/escorts patient to area of destination ensuring safety; regularly updates patients.
Procedures and Treatments: In this role, the PCT will accurately complete and document patient care activities including: ADL, vital signs, weights, (actual weight on admission or as ordered), intake & output, and calorie counts according to policy and procedure. Effectively explain and perform procedures (e.g., urinary catheter removal, ECGs, wound care and dressing changes under the direction of the nurse). Notifies appropriate personnel of response and questions. Collects non-sterile specimens such as routine urinalysis and stool specimens. Accurately performs point of care patient blood sugar testing under the direction of the nurse. Promotes and maintains skin integrity by reporting patient problems as they occur, to the appropriate team member.
Care Companion/Sitter/Observer: In this role, the PCT may be asked by the RN or LPN to remain with a patient as a means to keep the patient safe.
Department Specific Tasks: In this role, the PCT will support the nursing team by indirect patient care activities such as restocking equipment/linens, cleaning equipment etc. Performs unit support duties including answering and relaying telephone calls, filing and maintaining records, retrieving and delivering supplies, specimens, instruments, test results and so forth. These indirect patient care activities are identified in each nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and profitability across assigned territories.
- Lead, coach, and manage the outside sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Oversee territory coverage, customer engagement, and new business development.
- Analyze sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain key customer and supplier relationships through in-person and virtual meetings.
- Oversee sales activities and set sales targets across assigned territories
- Review budgets, revenue and profit before approving expenses
- Support pricing, contract, and negotiation activities as needed.
- Approve sales-related transactions, expenses, timecards, and commercial exceptions.

Position Description:
The Quality Manager will lead and oversee the Quality function at the Morton Grove site, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations, global quality standards, and customer expectations. This role will manage a team of Quality professionals and work closely with cross-functional departments to support the delivery of high-quality clinical and commercial batches.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of CDMO business dynamics, and hands-on experience with clinical GMP manufacturing environments.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams at the site, as well as working with Global Regulatory Affairs for RA topics.
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, global quality standards, and customer requirements for API manufacturing.
- Oversee batch release activities, including review and approval of clinical and commercial GMP batches.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Systems (deviations, CAPA, change control, investigations, audits, etc.) to ensure a state of continuous compliance and inspection readiness.
- Act as the primary quality contact for clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders for the site.
- Support regulatory inspections and client audits; ensure timely and effective closure of observations.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Project Management to support manufacturing and technology transfer activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage and develop the Quality team through effective leadership, training, and performance management.
- Contribute to the siteβs strategic planning as part of the site leadership team.
Experience & Requirements:
- Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in a CDMO environment, working with multiple customers and projects.
- Strong experience with clinical GMP batch manufacturing and release.
- Previous experience managing and developing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of ICH guidelines, GMP regulations (e.g., EU GMP, US FDA), and regulatory expectations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality roles within the pharmaceutical or chemical API industry.
