Position Summary
At Bollé Safety, we thrive when our people thrive. We’re currently looking for a Licensed Optician whose role is vital to help our team grow and provide excellent customer service around the country. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to details. This person should have experience working in an office environment, providing customer support for the Bollé Safety organization. The position reports to the Rx Operations Manager and is based at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.
Job Responsibilities
- Be able to enter prescription orders using our online platform and ensure follow-up with the lab.
- Manage stock and fulfillment of the Rx cards and digital vouchers.
- Be able to interpret results of eye examinations, and use those prescriptions to help select the appropriate selection of eyeglasses, frames, and lenses.
- Use your expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers in a practical and understandable manner.
- Provide excellent customer service in person, on the phone, text, email and online to both our distribution partners and their end users.
- Train and be knowledgeable of the Safety products offered and what options work for the customer. Become a product expert.
- Be the primary resource to our sales team for question regarding product knowledge and educating our internal sales reps for related questions.
- Check that our eyewear meets ANSI standards while still attempting to meet customer requirements and requests.
- Be proactive at preparing for potential issues and recommend changes in processes related to order management, card fulfillment, and customer service to address these upcoming issues

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing activities in compliance with GMP and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Prepare and formulate buffers, reagents, and solutions according to approved procedures and specifications.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) with strong attention to detail.
- Maintain excellent Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and audit?ready.
- The successful candidate must have a good mechanical background as they will be required to operate and maintain production equipment; experience with Biodot and/or Kinematic reel-to-reel systems is a strong plus.
- Support in-process checks, and quality control activities as required.
- Collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Engineering to troubleshoot processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold a controlled manufacturing environment per internal and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a GMP or ISO 13485 regulated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience preparing buffers and handling chemical and biological materials.
- Strong understanding of GDP and controlled documentation processes.
- Experience with manufacturing instrumentation; Biodot reel-to-reel experience is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is $22.67/hour-$32.42/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Responsible for the use of various tools and equipment in the fabrication, assembly, and erection of steel structure. This position includes drawing reading, steel structure removal shipboard and reinstall. The position requires a working knowledge of technical to include 1689 and 1688.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Must have own basic skill related tools and equipment if not supplied by the workplace.
- Lay-out, fabricate and brace metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames.
- Lay out position of parts on metal, working from blueprints or templates and using scribe and hand tools.
- Locate and mark reference lines, such as center, buttock, and frame lines.
- Position parts in hull of ship.
- Align parts in relation to each other, using jacks, turnbuckles, clips, wedges, and mauls.
- Mark location of holes to be drilled and install temporary fasteners to hold part(s) in place for welding.
- Install packing, gaskets, liners, and structural accessories and members, such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips.
- May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of nonstandard parts.
- May tack weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding.
- May roll, bend, flange, cut, and shape plates, beams, and other heavy metal parts, using shop machinery, such as plate rolls, presses, bending brakes, and joggle machines.

- Work over extended periods of time in tightly configured confined spaces.
- Often works on scaffolds and ladders. To avoid injury, safety clothing is required along with safety devices to protect the eyes, head, or hearing.

We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our Inertial Fusion Technology (IFT) division within the Energy group. This position is located in San Diego (Torrey Pines), CA.
The components to be machined are normally high-precision, small quantities, and typically millimeter in scale with micro-size features and tolerances. Production schedules are reasonable but due dates are often inflexible. Salary potential commensurate with willingness/ability to grow professionally.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and operate micro CNC shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and saws.
- Being able to follow all safety procedures in working and machining in a laboratory that works with beryllium components.
- NC programming in both manual (i.e., plain G-code and parametric G-code) and CAD/CAM (Creo).
- Inspect parts using mics, calipers, digital height gages, measuring microscope, indicators, gage blocks, surface plates, etc. as required.
- Inspect parts using high level inspection tools such as CT and white light optical profilers.
- Record and document machining data, including both in-process and final inspection results, in the database or designated Excel templates, and archive them on the server.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
