Import Coordinator (Air & Ocean) | Atlanta, GA | Salary of $65,000
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end import process across both air and ocean freight, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, knowledge of international shipping regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively with global partners, carriers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international import shipments via air and ocean from origin to final delivery
- Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with U.S. Customs regulations
- File entries and work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouses to ensure smooth cargo movement
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or issues proactively
- Verify and process invoices, ensuring accuracy of charges and cost control
- Maintain accurate records in the company's transportation management system (TMS)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including TSA, FMC, and CBP requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically imports (air and/or ocean)
- Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation (e.g., B/L, AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists)
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs procedures and import regulations
- Experience working with a TMS or logistics software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
