Carle's Audiology department offers diagnostic and rehabilitation services including adult and pediatric audiologic evaluation, vestibular evaluation and treatment, auditory evoked potentials, and hearing aid evaluation and fitting.

Opportunity Details

• Full range audiology practice including patients from birth to geriatrics , with large focus on pediatric patients
• Evaluate and treat balance disorders using videonystagmography evaluations (VNG)
• Perform auditory brainstem response testing
• Communication and meetings with device reps
• Train and precept audiology students

Education/Clinical Experience Requirements:

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Audiology
• Experience with hearing aids, implantable technology/devices, and balance evaluations preferred
• 2 years experience in a medical facility preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $34.31per hour - $59.01per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The Carle BroMenn Cath Lab performs many exciting and innovative procedures including but not limited to: diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology procedures. The procedural RN provides monitoring and comprehensive care of the patients undergoing these procedures including providing moderate sedation under the direction of the physician. • Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): 18 or older, neuro & medical diagnosis (any neurological disorder or disease, stroke designated unit, any medical or surgical patient needing a higher level of care), Level of care: Intermediate (ICU stepdown)
• Nurse to Patient ratio: 1:4
• Department culture and resources: Clinically excellent staff, dedicated team always willing to help each other. Our standard of care is vital signs taken every 4 hours at minimum, purposeful hourly rounding, patients out of bed/ambulating whenever possible.

Overview

The Outpatient Infusion Department/Pediatric Unit is committed to our Nursing Professional Practice Model; we believe in caring relationships with our patients, families, community, and colleagues to provide exceptional care. Our dedicated nursing staff, nurse leaders, interdisciplinary team members, and physician partners practice in an eleven bed inpatient unit that is combined with a 24/7 outpatient infusion department. All care is delivered by a highly-trained staff utilizing the most current technology and equipment. The unit is fast-paced, exciting, and always evolving- as RNs care for those ten days of age through the entire adulthood span and provide infusion treatments such as blood products, specialty medications, chemotherapy, hydration, antibiotics.
