JOB SUMMARY: The Automation Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the factory automation workstream for our manufacturing facility in Sumter, South Carolina. This facility is in production of permanent magnets for automotive and commercial applications. This role will be responsible for ongoing implementation of technology and supporting system interfaces to automate the manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with operational objectives. The Automation Systems Engineer will work closely with operations and maintenance to ensure the design, testing, and implementation of installed automation systems performs as intended.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.
- Manage interfaces between Manufacturing Equipment and the Execution System.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translates functional requirements to system configuration.
- Serves as a technical contact for customers.
- Has a firm competency of one or more control systems platforms or industrial processes.
- Adapts to new technologies by applying learned concepts and functionality.
- Designing electrical control cabinets and panels.
- Responsible for efficiently managing, testing, implementing, and completing projects in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding project specifications.
- You will work in all areas of project implementation including project management, panel design, hardware selection, vendor/end user/consultant interaction, programming, testing, and site support.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring for others with a thorough knowledge of industry standards and procedures.
- Develop procedures and plans for factory and field testing of control panels and systems.
- Coordination of projects and resources to meet expected deliverables for quality, schedule, and budget.
- Lead activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Provide technical support via phone, remote access, and onsite presence.
- Responsible for the physical machine hardware used in manufacturing, the networks that connect them, and the software controlling them.
- Work closely with the Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams to support production and facility projects that involve networking, PLCs, HMIs, and associated software.
- Collaborate with multiple Operations teams to meet current and future continuous improvement project goals.
- Reduce downtime on production equipment due to issues with the control system.
- Support network backup and device patching management process.
- Review security vulnerabilities and request appropriate remediation from respective teams.
- Lead the design and development of PLC, SCADA, and control system applications of varying complexity.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, historians, and thin client/server architectures.
- Support system integration, startup, commissioning, and qualification activities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems and process loops.
- Strong knowledge of control networks.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing process control systems.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned to support.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field..
- 5-10 years of proven experience in automation and project management, including managing projects with budgets exceeding $10 million USD.
- Extensive background in factory automation, with roles such as Customer Project Lead, Technical Sales Manager, Project Manager, or Group Lead.
- Strong technical engineering background in automation, controls, and/or electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience, such as commissioning automation lines.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, including verbal de-escalation, presentation skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- High resilience, quick perception, and a balance of technical and management skills
- Willingness to travel internationally

JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating all logistics, warehousing, and distribution activities for eVAC Magnetics. This role will ensure that materials, equipment, and finished products are delivered on time, in the right quantity, and at optimal cost to support seamless manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction. The Logistics Supervisor will work closely with production, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams to establish efficient processes and support the plant’s growth during ramp-up and beyond.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics, including raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, inventory control, shipping/dispatching freight using the forwarding information provided on the Commercial/Customs invoice
- Ensure compliance with DoD subcontractor requirements, export controls, and applicable federal and state transportation regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to optimize cost, lead time, and reliability of deliveries.
- Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
- Clear goods through customs and to their destinations for clients.
- Pay, or arrange for payment of, taxes and duties on shipments.
- Calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments.
- Request or compile necessary import documentation, such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo-control documents.
- Implement and maintain metrics for logistics performance (on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, freight cost analysis, etc.).
- Partner with the Procurement team to evaluate and negotiate freight contracts, warehouse services, and transportation agreements.
- Lead the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure proper integration with ERP/MES systems.
- Develop, coach, and lead a logistics team, ensuring training and compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse layout, material flow, packaging, and handling.
- Serve as primary point of contact for logistics-related audits and compliance reviews.
- Support sustainability initiatives related to packaging, freight efficiency, and waste reduction.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, import/export of goods, and inventory management best practices.
- Experience working with ERP and WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent; MES knowledge a plus).
- Familiarity with import/export compliance, ITAR, and DoD subcontractor regulations is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to negotiate freight contracts and manage third-party logistics providers.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Job Summary The Senior Program Manager, International Student Recruitment is the subject matter expert (SME) and key driver for the development and implementation of a strategic student outreach/recruitment campaign to attract qualified applicants in designated world regions on behalf of NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD).
This position has primary responsibility to develop specific regional plans to drive student applications to NYUAD, optimize initiatives and activities to enhance the student application pool, conduct data-driven impact analysis of recruitment activities on application targets from each region, and develop focused reports to communicate success and strategies to change approaches as required.
This position is responsible for management of operations, personnel, and budget allocations of the IIE/NYUAD Program, including supervision of direct reports (3), international contractors through a third-party Employer of Record (EOR) (4), and a dotted-line (matrix) reporting structure for outreach officers in IIE International Offices (4).
The Senior Program Manager represents IIE/NYUAD in interactions with NYUAD admissions leadership and team members.
Essential Functions: Manages the daily activities of the NYUAD program, including overseeing operations, budget allocations, personnel, and policy decision-making.
Provides guidance and direction to a global team of international recruitment professionals to achieve program deliverables including accountability of each team deliverables in five different world regions.
Manages employment of outreach officers through an EOR, including establishment, maintenance, and tracking of processes for payroll, expenses, reimbursements, vendor payment, and PTO.
Oversees the development of an international recruitment plan and strategy to identify and recruit a competitive and diverse international student applicants for all academic programs prioritizing students from regions relevant to the Scope of Work.
Responsible for the development of required, measurable, and outcome-based comprehensive progress reports on international student recruitment and outreach activities, in addition to target application data to communicate progress, challenges, and strategies to NYU and NYUAD leadership.
Develops customized and data-driven assessments of all recruitment initiatives to ensure required outcomes for recruitment plans are adequately accomplished.
Empowers team members to take a well-informed, data-driven, and strategic approach to country-level and regional-level outreach through providing guidance, training, and support.
Develops user-friendly recruitment resources and tools with assistance from the Business Process Analyst to inform recruitment planning and decision making.
Assesses ongoing regional strategies based on application targets, adjusting as required.
Responsible for program budget allocations between regional teams to allow for changes in program needs; monitors budget expenditures and provides input into policies; realignment of funds within various project and activity charge codes Oversees the planning and travel for all team members to recruitment and yield functions, including school visits, recruitment fairs, prospective student receptions, and yield events.
Develops and implements comprehensive onboarding/training of new team members and ongoing trainings for all IIE/NYUAD team members.
Manages full-team events including annual virtual January Retreat, Summer "mini sessions
